How Often do you update your ride?

Myself im forunate enough to be able to upgrade every season now, all the other guys i ride with run there sleds for a max of 2 years.

what about you and why? for us its reliability. so far back into nowhereland down in some nasty creek draw it doesnt have to be 300hp it just has to make it home.

Well I buy a new two stroke or two every year. But my favourite deep snow sled is 7 seasons and 9000km old now. You just can't beat a boosted 4 stroke for deep powder.

Never had money to upgrade & still dont.
Bought new in 97 & ran that for 10yrs, with many several in between. Then a used 05 RX-1. Liked the reliable 4 stroke & got a 2010 TNytro.
Just cant afford new for now.

Upgrade every few years to some else's low km non current or high km if cheap? Lol

About every 4 or 5 years I buy someone else's lightly used sled. Sometimes a little more often, but that's about average. Haven't bought brandnew since 2002, and before that it was 1978. I never finance toys so that's what I can afford. That, and I just don't see the point in paying depreciation when there's so many good used sleds out there. Out of over probably 25 or so sleds through the years I only ever got one lemon. 1981 Yamaha SRX 440. What a POS!

Well my sled is coming on for 10 years old, and no immediate plans to change it up. My problem is I have too many other hobbies outside of snowmobiling that all take a certain amount of funding, which typically leaves just enough to repair my sled, but never replace it. Also a good year for me is 500km so it is not like I put a ton of miles on it or am that committed of a snowmobiler. In fact I have been tossing around the idea of cleaning house and selling off most of my powersport toys.

In 40 years of sledding I have only bought one new sled and that was a 2011 in 2012.

Never bought new just bought used an keep building to my liking, also never sold a sled either, so I had this one four years now and a remake at year two

Never bought new! Started with a 99 and 97 three years ago! Updated to a 2009 at beginning of year and sold 99. Now just bought a 2003. I have been brand loyal, they are 4 strokes!

Used to be every couple years as logged on the miles and wanted new and improved rides. Current ride almost 6 years old and still low km so maybe wife needs a new ride I can borrow
