New to me sled this year, $8000, $600 on primary clutch parts, 300 on two belts, 500 for holz arms (damned rocks at Rimbey), 120 for tunnel stiffners, and some other misc cash for rivits, and a small windshield.... Adds up i guess, just lucky to have a garage that a person can use to work on it... Next year, avy gear!!!

Who the hell cares about what it cost? :D

I always laugh at these threads, there's always someone trying to justify how much $$$$ they spent to themselves or their significant other.

My wife has never asked me what it costs, she can tell by the 4 foot smile on my face when I get home that it makes me happy and you can't put a price on things like a beautiful blue bird day, 3 feet of fresh, race gas, good friends and some smokies over a fire.

Over the years many people have asked me how much sledding costs and I give them all the same response: "It's cheaper than crack and twice as addicting!" :D

Thats right! The cost is not relevant, seeing a 4 year old little girl ride her 120 untill it is out of gas chasing her 2 other sisters is priceless. "Its just not fast enough Daddy, it needs a turbo"

$3500 new sled deck
$400 new seat
$100 tail bag
$1200 in avy gear
$300 in belts
$250 for wind screens (think i don't need these anymore, way too expensive on each rollover)
Don't know how much for countless zip ties (yep, goes along with the roll overs!)
Still waiting for bills for possible shock rebuilds (last trip to blue was wicked!)
$1000 in fuel for sleds and truck
$25 for the trailer license plate someone wanted
$2500 hotel/meals

oh yea, and the $11,500 it cost for the 12 days in Florida in late January with the family to justify all the sled trips. (oh well, at least i'm not home hunting eggs this year!) wife/kids not so impressed. Me--:)

When we lived in the NWT we used to ponder about the price per pound of our pickeral, moose, caribou, sheep.....float plane trips, boat trips, over night trips for the caribou....it was always a joke and a way cheaper to go the fish plant and pay the exorbitant price per pound that they charge.

Sledding in the mountains is just the same but damn its fun, addicting (as Modman says), and a great escape. Priceless with wonderful powder, the smell of the trees, and that awesome smell of 2-stroke.....:ThumbsupMsn:
