I've been pushing snow with my bear since 1990. I built a blade and push frame that bolted onto the foot pegs, it weighs in about a third of the weight of the quad, but it works

You should post a few pics of your home made plow ;) Funny that you brought up this thread. I just plowed my driveway tonight, we had a few inches overnight. Plowing snow with the quad is a great way to have some fun even when it is minus 20 degrees outside? :):)

My dad pushes both snow and dirt with is 07 650 Cat and a 60" blade with no problems, but his stock Cat winch broke twice?? I push my driveway with a 60" blade with no problems with my rene. I think that if you stay in low and have 55 degrees on the blade for the long push you wont eat up the road and tires along the way.

Add washers to the sliders and do a couple of passes if you are worried

with the blade at about a 45 degree angle..go slow thru the gate.trust me on this one..some times i put a 20kg weight on the plow just so it don't bounce...route the winch cable so it don't have to bend in the same area all the time as it will break the cable..try to use a snatch block pully on the plow and hook the hook back to the quad..:)

Son uses a 60" on his 350 Kodiak. does great. We do our drive, fairly long, down the road to neighbours and his drive, even longer, and back. He makes $20 doing the neighbours. Quad is stock, no low gear no problems. Have to go out today and plow, if it starts.

I have a 48" blade on my 500 Rubicon and usually end up doing 4-5 driveways in the subdivision after a snowfall......it is very effective and does and awesome job

Got a homebuilt plow on Foreman.Works good.Been using it for 6-7 years.Only issue is it mounts on foot pegs so they are kinda bent from taking a run at snow piles.Use a snatch block on blade and a hood spring from pick-a-part where line hooks to quad.A lot easier on the winch.

I'm heading out into this nasty cold weather we're having, as we speak, to go plow again. -24C is a bit cold. I will be investing in a handle bar warmer kit for my quad.

Got blade back on the 350 Kodiak and it started right up. Carb model. Yesterday when we tried the 700 Griz it did not want to start. EFI, go figure. Son did make driver error, got wedged along wooden fence in 2 ft of snow, had to pull him back on course by hand.

I have this on an 05 brute force 750........ I am bringing it back to Idaho falls to sell.

works great on driveways and sidewalks, but at the cabin, the ground is just way to uneven and it doesn't work as well.

I'm not sure what to sell the package for?

I plow 400 ft of driveway with a Yamaha 400 and a 48in blade hooked up to my winch for up and down. Done it for 4 years no problems. I have even plowed the subdivision road when the county was too slow. Stock new kawasaki tires (spin sometimes) but I just make sure I don't let the snow pile up. I think 48 is easier than 60 but you should be fine either way. You'll find out quick how much you can push!

i had a 5 foot plow on my honda rancher 350 and it worked awesome, even better with mudlites, ha ha. Any way you have a big enough quad for plowing and if it get heavy just lift the blade up and make 2 runs.
