I wondering if I should paint my 2006 F350 with 295000 km and 7250 hours on it. It runs good and I've had the truck since new. It has everything done to it and its not worth anything. I was just wondering if anyone else has a high miler and how long they are running it for?

Good to hear! I'm interested in peoples responses also. I'm at 180k and just a shade under 3000hrs on my 05.
I bought it with the intentions of keeping it until it's not worth fixing...

Ford had just did the head gasket at 280000 under warrenty( the head weren't leaking but they did for before warrenty ran out) and they put in a stud kit and I had them do the egr delete. It runs good and strong, ford just did a blow by test and said it was at 10".

wow ive never heard of those motors getting that high of miles, we have a lot of bucket trucks and crew truck (450's and 550's) and they have major problems around 135 000 kms, most need replacing or major work.

Bumper is a buck stop. I wouldn't give it away lol. Way to good of a truck. Had the heads done at 110000 because of the tuner. Haven't put it back in since unplugged egr valve and can honestly say I have not had one hour of down time since then. Have not touched the front end or tranny yet. Only thing done has been u joints. It has carried a welding rig since day one and I'm not easy on it. Maintenance is key

I had an 04 with 400,000, no studs or EGR delete, and it finally had the flexplate let go. Sold an old Valard Truck to a friend with 385,000 and it's still going strong...
My Dually has 165,000 with studs and egr..we'll see how long she goes, or I'll sell her....

Wow those are some miles,at this rate mine may last forever, 05 F350 and just rolled over 90,000 Km. Studs, egr, pump and cooler done. I only drive it when I can't ride my bike so it doesn't move very often between April to November.

I have an 06 F350 with a new engine replaced under warranty by Ford at 135000. Now sitting at 178000. EGR went on it and cooked the back cylinder after mechanic fixed it and forgot the hose clamp off. Did the EGR delete and running great! If the engine goes not worth getting a new one. Seen the invoice for the fix at over $24,000.00 Ouch!

I have an 05 HD Edition, bought used in 07 with 41,000K. High pressure oil pump decided it was done at 50,000K, City Ford retro fit my truck from the tank forward with all 7.3 fuel line, injector pump, injectors, the whole nine yards under warranty. She now has 116,000K and haven`t had any problems since (knock on wood)
Good to hear that there are some high milers out there :D

Well I got a price for a paint job and I was quote 3000 to 3500 and they take the box off and do it right. I think that a good price and I can't buy a shiny one for that price. If my engine goes I might look at putting a Cummings in.

I now have just over 200K on mine! Went from a contracting truck in the patch to an RV hauler now that it is no longer a work truck! I have been religous about the maintenance since new and it had it's share of issues. (synthetic from 10k onward) I pull with it regular but never chipped it or abused it. It had an oil cooler replaced at 140k and at 190k I had all the injectors replaced (was getting harder to start) and found signs of the EGR failing so I have done the EGR delete and after spending all that dough hope to see another 100k out of it to get my investment back! I firmly believe now anyone with a stock EGR is sitting on potential trouble until they upgrade or delete. Most owners I have talked to have experienced similiar issues around the same mileage and an exceptional few have had zero troubles with one in Fort Liard currently showing over 600k on it with only injectors replaced to date. But overall, you still see the Fords dominating most work fleets!
