How many km/miles turbo'd

Hey guys, just looking for info on how many km/miles people are getting on a turbo'd 2stroke. lets hear what everyone's got going on.
- year, make, model?
- brand of turbo kit?
- km/miles before major repair?
- fuel ran?
- boost ran?

Aaaaaaaaaand GO!

if you must ask these questions than a turbo is not for you.

FYI a long block is $5500, if you cant manage that, back out now

Why do you say that? its not the money i am worried about. its the down time and not being able to ride
because the sled is always having issues. if anyone is worrying about money they shouldnt have a sled period.
i love how you guys seem to troll a post to say anything but what i am asking for help with.
do you run a turbo? if so, then all you should have to reply with is:
what kit, what fuel, how much boost and if there was any major issues. simple.

Oler1234 is the guy I ride the most (95% of the time) with and yes has run a turbo and will run one again this season. He has also blown up at least 2 motors with the turbo installed, maybe even 3. So yes, turbos blow up just as any sled will blow up. There is always a chance of downtime. I am running a turbo myself this year on an XM. I will run 6-7lbs and straight av gas with a boost controller to dial it down on the days breaking trail at 1200 ft and 2 ft of pow. You ask an open question in a public form and get answers, then ask the exact same question again, you are gonna get responses like you have. Either bite the bullet and doo it or take your lumps looking for answers. Good luck...I am about $7000 into it and it hasn't touched the snow. Install costs not included yet as Oler1234 and his old man have done the install...I was there for moral support and hold the light at times. Most of the answers you are searching for won't come from this forum, each build is different IMO. From what i have seen, most of the peeps answering are super knowledgeable and you may want to lean on them at another time for an answer. That may not come now. But hey, who am I to tell you how to respond...who would do that? Any how, enjoy chasing the answers you seek and again good luck .

Went with Redline...support local and Dave is a great guy. Actually answers the phone...even texts at 9:00 on a sunday night. I have yet to have him not respond. I would recommend him to any one.

I 2nd Dave at Redline - he's a beauty - I have aTss centre mount and had terrible customer service - so I took it to Dave got me dialed in super deadly and is so frickin knowledgeable it's mind boggling and he always responds to helping with questions - customer service is everything to this guy - next sled turbo kit is Redline for sure

Best turbo sled is having stock sled for back up . Only way to do it without losing your mind . It makes it fun again .

The 800 skidoo has weak rods. I have over 2000 kms on my Boost It T3 800. It has a Linderman built motor with rods. Love the sled, running 8-10 #'s boost every day.

2008 M8 put roughly 2500 miles, 1st Gen Aero 53 8 psi, no issues till I decided to take it up a bobsled run and spun out. She got a little bent on the way down.

Now what matters, 2015 XM 174, 2000km 1500km boosted. Aero 66 5-6 psi for now. Only issue has been the stock fuel pump. If guys are blowing them up, good chance it has to do with the install/set up, or the kit itself. Only sled I’ve blown up was a stock one, twice, same sled. I paid oh so dearly, specially with the exchange at the time, but how can you put a price on down time vs ride time!

2011 pro 3000k arocharger 7-15 lbs sold ran great when sold c12 50/50
2010 Xp 2500k tss 10lbs sold worked fine when sold c12 50/50
2009 nytro 5000k impulse 22lbs sold worked fine when sold c16 50/50 to straight
2015 viper only got 900k so far 7-20 lbs boost it don't like chains c16 50/50 to straight

sound slike you have had some good luck going. what are you running for fuel?

Im not sure a head spacer is the answer. A machined head or aftermarket head with low compression for boost would be the best option. IMO

Having the stock head on a XM cut for low compression is a better choice than a head spacer.

I'm pretty sure it was powder freaks that was doing the heads for boost it's pump gas xm kit.
