How many bring non riding family members with them on trips?

How many of you have family members or significant others that like to come along for the trips but they don't actually snowmobile?

What do they like to do with their free time? Where do you go? What are your recommendations for an exciting destination?

My wife rides when she comes, however on a multi day trip, sometimes she just can't ride everyday. She likes to go hiking around, or exploring the community when she doesn't ride. We typically ride Valemount or McBride.

Hoping to bring one, or more, of the kids on a trip this year. I doubt they will ride every day, but i think they will like exploring around the cabin with mom.

Wife used to ride with. She would just ride to the cabin and spend the day in there.
After our Daughter she came on the one trip and decided might as well stay home. More for the kid to do.

See, you guys so open my mind up. I have articles I'm writing for a few tourism clients in Canada and the US. The option to only ride one or a couple of the days I never even thought about. To offer family friendly kid activities would be a bonus! If I didn't ride, a spa setting would be appealing too. Heck it's appealing being a rider lol. I don't travel much so your input is much appreciated. Thank you.

Wife joins us and rides for a few days then opts out and goes for a spa or exploring shopping day, we usually try to bring atleast one other wife or kid when she comes Along so she doesnt feel pressured to ride more then she wants to,no point in forcing someone to ride more then they want then they dont enjoy the trip either

My wife and 2 young daughters majority of the time come along for the trip if I am going to be gone for more that a couple days. We are fortunate enough to have property and a cabin in Valemount so they have a place to stay and hangout at when I am gone. She can cross country ski, toboggan, hike or just relax all from the cabin. Only downfall is she doesn't have a vehicle to get into town if needed or just cause, so we have been talking about getting a cheap SUV to just leave out there for her.

we do a trip every year where the significant others come always make sure to always go to a town with a ski hill. The girls will ski for the day while we go out riding and meet back at the house at the end of the day for a bourbon and a tub.

We have been making a trip to Fernie every February when the kids are out of school. My wife and kids come along and they ski, snowshoe, cross country ski, shop and hangout. We either rent a house or condo and then we can all hang out in the evening.

When our boys were quite young (5 and 9 years old), my wife would come along and then take our youngest swimming to the Revelstoke rec centre which is great for families! Now they are older and both ride so my wife doesn't come and enjoys here peace and quiet at home. Fortunately we now have our own place in the Kootenays so sometimes she comes out now and then bums around town, meets up with girlfriends, quilts or goes snow-shoeing. A couple of times a year she'll join us for a easy couples ride to a cabin and some trail touring. Best part is she is allows the boys and I to pursue our sledding addiction and is VERY understanding when we show up late... mostly from following Teth-Air around! Ha ha!
