I have to agree. The pros dont have near the power of the other two, but they just flat out work. I think its the light weight, drive system efficiency, and sled geometry. I personally dont like the feel of them, but I will admit they work good.

I think it's the geometry and weight distribution that gets the pro up on the snow better.

has any of the doo guys tried a 15" wide track?would the added track speed in a strait hill climb be beneficial as a posed to the added weight and traction of the wider track.Last yr while ridding my brothers 06 rev (stock except for drop and roll 162" 2.5" track ,Dynaport exhaust ) i could out climb a 2012 pro 163.stock 800 Ho was listed at 140 hp?there are to many variables from rider to rider.

with similar riders 30-50 lbs makes a big difference. ive never seen a pro rmk outclimb a xp chassis skidoo but hey thats just my experience. i think the lighter weight balances out its lack of HP but it does not accel past the other brands that is forsure. i also notice it sounds like you werent using the same rider. in my experience no hill is the same and no one hits the hill the same. correct throttle control over the first bump before the hill climb can make a 50ft difference in marks easy. my findings are exact opposite of yours and not just because im on team doo. one of my riding buddies had a new etec 163 and his dad had a pro 163. they both are similar weights and he would just embarass that pro rmk all day long. ( they are probly reading this) lol. i think the highmark competition has way to many variables to determine which sled is better. unless you develop a hill that has a perfectly straight run with no interuptions and the sleds are controlled by robots your never going to get accurate results.

also have you been drinking this fine evening?

Nobody has a "similar weight" to Brandon. He weighs less than the gas in his sled with his gear on.

Not to hate on the pros but in stock form I have yet to see one impress me, maybe it's just the riders I have seen weren't the best , but even on the hills where it took no skill they were Definately lacking. IMO

Ok , so the doo with a reported 20 hp more always, in your group, wins. Seen lots of comparisons on lots of different snow, and my experience is different from yours, by a mile. Granted usually stock to stock the Doo beats the Poo, but not always and definetly not by a lot. Not stock, no turbo, no big bore, different story, advantage Poo IMO. And thats great youre not impressed by my question was why is it even close, with 20 hp difference, every person who has experienced the Doo vs Pro clashes should be saying, Doo winner clear and evident. You are obviously dominant and so are all the other Doo s in your group, but sorry man, that aint the norm. I'm not bashing or boasting, sincere question, how can it even be close, and why. I can show you posts from the Nytro zealots also stating no poo or doo or cat ever beat them either, but talks cheap, evidence for 2 years on the snow is .... Pro and XP are fairly close, advantage Doo. But approx 15 % less hp, should be dominant.

And another question, why in a sport where its almost always been HP crazy, and HP the biggest factor in buying, are we now seeing so many guys choosing a lesser powered machine. Not the norm, and it sure as hell hasnt been the great service from Poo. Honest question not fishing.

Like I said before I'm sure the pro being 30+ lbs lighter makes up for most of its lacking hp. Throw a real track on it and boost te hp and I bet we have a new high mark king. But again wtf is high marking and who does that anymore.
