Old thermostat is off, and the wires are tied together. The furnace keeps kicking on and off, like there was a thermostat on. It's not running full blown and making heat :(

If the furnace is lighting than going out, I believe your flame sensor needs cleaning, use emery to clean it and don't touch it with your fingers.
Oops I should of read the whole 3 pages, how did yah make out?

Dude, where the T-stat wires are tied in to the furnace you should have a R,W,G,Y,C grab a chunk of wire and jumper from R to G(24 volts no danger), if the fan doesn't start chances are that it is the motor. Phone Soper Supply with the model of furnace or motor if you can see it and they will sell you a replacement. If you can avoid it don't remove motor until you have the replacement there so there is less remembering to do. If it does run, you should be able to leave the jumper in and the burner will cycle as usual but fan will run 100% of the time. Or call an HVAC guy, they have to eat too.

Your fan should kick on before burners light. I'm still thinking inducer motor.

I made the jumper and the fan kicked on :D, but the funny thing is. It only came on when the burners ignited??? So I guess either way I need a new fan and motor, or an inducer(what ever that is  )

It could be the board. I'd get a furnace guy to look or you may end up changing out a bunch of parts that are ok. When you jumper the green it's like turning the fan switch on. It should run whether the T-stat is calling for heat or not. Maybe time for a new high efficiency furnace. :)

if you jumped out G and you blower started, your should be motor is fine, the blower is supposed to Delay on when there is a call for heat(this is so the blower doesn't blow cold air into the space) if your burner is igniting fine, you don't have to change the flame sensing device(thermocouple/flame sensor, i forget what i saw in the picture)

most likely a faulty fan relay (hard to tell without having a volt meter on the relay and seeing what is happening)

(when there is a call for heat from your t stat , induced draft motor/combustion motor starts, air flow proves, then the ignition module gets energized, opening your gas valve and igniting your burners, then after a period of time your blower will start)

but for the time being change the fan setting on your t stat to ON (there should be and ON,OFF,AUTO setting)

this should make the fan run continuously ( this is based on your fan running when you jumped out G at the furnace)

hope that gets you by and provides a little insight on the operation of your furnace

an HVAC tech will be able to fix you up if needed

My house was built in 94, the furnace/thermostat are org. The furnace has been serviced a few times, including just before I moved in 4 years ago.
For the past week, my thermostat has been at 25C, but only reading 15C. AND it feels like frickin 15 in here!!!
Last winter was colder, and Cowtown really hasn't seen winter yet....

My question is, what would be the lack of heat in the house? Would it be that my thermostat has bought the farm, or could the furnace be on it's way out? or both???
Thanks in advance

just a note there trashy

maybe shut the front door!!!!!

I think I know whats going on now......

I was in the bsmt in between post's, and have noticed that the manifold is firing high heat. But the problem is that the blower fan is not kicking on, therefore I'm only getting radiant heat (so to speak)

Is there any S&M members here that would be interested in making some cash over or after the break? I have a good idea of what needs to be done, just not a fan (LOL) of home electrical even with the breaker shut off.

just a suggestion,

turn the air conditioner off .

if the T stat setting to ON doesn't work, its because the board will let the fan relay control its operation in the heating mode not the G terminal , hope it works for ya

looks like the contacts 1-3 aren't closing on the relay( to check it, use your volt meter across 1-3 contacts when there is a call for heating and the burner is lit, if you have 24V , that means the relay isn't closing the contacts)

or the relay its self inst getting power

I don't have an ON setting on my Tstat, but I will check it in a bit with my multi meter.

OK....... went out to the shed to grab my multi meter, and the battery is dead. Of course I don't have a 9V for it either, but I shut the breaker off. Attached the jumper wire and flipped the breaker back on. The fan is working again, but from the previous pics I have posted. Can someone indicate where the relay is, that I need to replace?
Thanks again for all the help!!!

P.S. Tater, I haven't called your buddy yet, but I still might tomorrow.
