I have the same thing happening with my email address,all my contacts were getting spammed,as I can't just close my email account as i have had for years I just deleted all my contacts and that has stopped the spam for now....friggin spammers!

Generally to stop that hack you can just change your account password to stop them from sending emails out from you to your contact list.

just changing your password won't work you need to update your security info as well. In some cases you just need to open a new account, it sucks but reality sometimes

Well....... I tried to get into it tonight, but I created it so loooong ago. I can't remember my security question? So I sent a customer request in, with a different email account. And now see what happens from here???
A few ppk from work told me it was from leaving my email account open, and that is how it eventually get's hacked!!!

So don't leave your email accounts open.

I had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago, was advised to change my password and so far no more spam. Keeping fingers crossed though. Sucks big time though.

Hotmail got back to me, I reset my password. Also ran a full system scan and good to go again. What a pain in the ass!!!!
