My 2 summer rides. The Vette is totally stock, lots of fun with the six speed.
My S550 is a fun and comfortable ride,I have a Renntech tuner for it,really wakes up the turbos.
It surprises everyone I have raced.
565 hp and 705lbs of torque with all wheel drive,it hooks up!
Deciding which one to drive is sometimes hard...

After racing my Corvette against my Mercedes and the Mercedes running away from my Vette multiple times I decided to even things up a bit.

I bought some boost for my Corvette...:)

Soo I'm looking for opinions...

385 SBC in a 66 nova with TCI front clip/4-link. looking at some running gear options. Street driven by my 65 year old dad but built for big power eventually.

200-4R vs 700R4 vs 4L80-E

and

new TCI 9" for 3600 USD$ or someone else's rear end

Planning on going to fuel injection or staying carb? I'd keep it all dinosaur if you go carb and do TH400 w/Gear Vendors as you are clearly interested in O/D. If going FI then 4L80E and a converter will hold your goals.

That's what I was thinking but I want to start carb SBC and I'm sure it'll end up LS/LT and injected.

Is 4000 USD crazy for an all new 9 inch? complete with discs?

I have a friend with a built 4L80E that he outgrew... but I don't know where to start with trans controller. Microsquirt? it can run the LS injestion stuff later too I guess?

I like the dinosaur route too... fack me

If you go LS 4L80E there is really no reason not to go Holley Terminator X Max these days. As far as a standalone trans controller though I am not sure as I've never done or researched it.

BBC IMO for a something with decent street manners and that kind of HP. Just put a healthy 383 into a 68 Camaro that is probably in the 5's. To get enough cam even roller, to get big power it has single digit vacuum, loose converter and steep gears to make it happy. A 500HP 468 or bigger can make those numbers and idle like a sewing machine..

We have a 385 SBC built already with 10.5:1, Vic Jr heads, big cam, air gap dual plane. should be 5ish already.

BBC is a big motor for a Chevy 2. I want light, probably go LS3/LS7 next time or even LSA with ported blower and some work is well into the 7 range

Funny thing...out here on the island....one of the most left places in Canada...they still have cruise nights. Talked to a few of the guys, they’ve had them all covid summer. Red Deer had no cruise gatherings. Grrr

Anyways, some nice cars here last night.

That Camaro/Corvette combo is what every man should strive to have in his garage!
