Wanting to try this area on a nice bluebird low avy risk day in the Spring. Has anyone on here ventured in yet this season or last year? I know by reading a previous thread it sounded like most did not attempt to ride until late Feb / early March when conditions settle.

TIA

the trail in can be challenging. We usually go in once a year. I would think by now the trail would be set.

I'd like to give it a go later in the season too, not to sure how smart it is to venture in there without anyone whose rode there before??

should definitely be with someone knowledgeable about the area and Definetly someone with an avalanche education. It is one of the most dangerous zones in BC IMO

If your going to go in, just space your selves out a couple hundred meters while passing through the first “tunnel”. The poke in isn’t the dangerous part that’s fine it’s once your in.

When we go in we never ride the first valley. just pass through to the trees and lakes.

this is very good advise. also don't go in on a cloudy or low vis day if you have never been before. best to find someone that has been in before

Is this the place where you have to climb a waterfall to get into? I remember that being fun, Actually more fun coming down with little snow, kindof like a bobsled that time. If that is the same place. Although it has been a long time since being there.
