Before giving brp $500 of my hard earned pesos, I'd thought id give a try at making my own.
I used a stock G5X seat and the factory rear belt holder. Hacked them both up, hollowed out the foam and reattached the cover. I think it turned out pretty well. You can hardly feel the difference under your ass. Will see how it holds up.
I find skidoo seats absorb water. Since it was apart, I wanted to try and seal the seams to see if that would help. I tried Flex Seal in a spray can. I have not used it before. Not sure if I screwed it up, or that's how it is, but the product is still quite sticky after 2 weeks indoors. It made it a real pain the ass to get the cover on properly as it was constantly sticking to the foam.

Nice work. But why would you want to sit on a hard belt?
I’m not sure that could be worse than the seat. My G5 seat is brutal. I lean on it if I’m having a beer lol

It not so much that I want to sit on a belt, more a matter of a place to store it. There's still some foam so it isn't that bad. It's also an X seat which is a little thicker than the expert.
The only time I sit is when the sled is stopped anyway.

Nice work. I was looking at doing exactly that as I want belt storage. Especially for here in Sask where I usually don’t have bag or backpack with.
