Rutiger is a cult classic, he has never been able to play anything but the outlander. Even when he was the blind sword guy it was the same music, same demeanor, same everything. George Strombolupolus is in the movie!!!!!!!! not to forget "Ricky". So badly made and to have icons takes it over the fence IMO. Instant cult classic

An actor isn't the one that makes a film a cult classic or not
the film and its niche following makes it a cult classic...
Rutger was in Batman Begins... and thats definitely not a cult classic at all
same with Sin City and many of his vast german credits

Cult classics evolve into the status

movies like Blade Runner, A Clockwork Orange, Repo Man, the evil dead series, Akira
no one could of predicted the dedicated "cult" like following that these movies would EVENTUALLY pick up over time
And it had nothing to do with the actors in them

You have good points, but this movie is everywhere and it sucks so bad it has an instant following.

Dont forget the 1986 classic "the Hitcher" coincidently also with Rutger Hauer.
