wasn't Highjacker the guy that "borrowed" the idea for ice scratchers and is selling them on his site? There was a thread about that last year, IFIR

Anyone want to start the "My 1100T blew up and Cat won't warrantee it" crying towel thread yet? Might as well get a head start on it! :)

Well the 1100T isn't a new motor and there are performance shops that have been makin big hp and not havin issues. It dont expect there to be any issues with reliability at all especially if a person only runs the 240hp box.

these two posts go hand in hand. Sounds like a guy who just got a diesel, signed the waiver for a level 6 tunes. Then goes to the dealer cause his transmission is fried and/or the shop he bought it from. Point i am trying to make is performance shops know when to get on it and when to back off. Average user on the other hand may not but for $1000 this is the best upgrade money can buy really!

well the 240hp upgrade is supposed to be a pump gas set-up. Just like the 240kit on the hytro's. You dont hear of to many of them droppin motors except due to opertor error like puttin regular fuel in. but with that being said both are mod sleds and aren't totally bullet proof. when you build a mod sled there isn't waranty. How many turbo'd two strokes that have problems do guys get warranty.

In my head
There are a handful of companies all claiming the 240 HP out of their tunes. Some of the truth coming out is that this 240 is under the most ideal of conditons. How often does that happen. A little bad fuel can be a game changer. There is one company that states lower HP rating but is consistant and has good safety factrored in. It is not a reflash. So one has to consider if a consistant but slightly lower HP rating is better than the "we got 240 HP on a dyno" crowd, but if everything isn't perfect then really it's not 240.

Just more to think about. I would love to jump on the bandwagon and make an early season decision, but feel it prudent to wait for the guinea pigs to figure it out for me.

Waiting for on snow testing.....................

I've heard from one cat dealer that running it up to around the 220hp mark will not affect warranty. I'm not totally sure on that. Most guys are gonna proabbaly run arounfd the 220 mark on the "pump Gas" set-up. This is just a safety mark to take into account for bad fuel, that is also why if it was me runnin a pumpgas turbo like that i'd mix a gallon or so of race gas per tank just have as a safe guard against bad fuel.
