My name is Brian, I ride a 2007 Suzuki King Quad 700. I've put a few hop-ups into it (Copperhead CDI, HMF pipe, Supergrip mud bitch's) and I love it.

Hi Brian,
I see you have the same quad as me. All I've done so far is a little tire upgrade, Suzuki bumpers, and a Twin air filter. How's the Copperhead programer, I've read good things, but they almost seem too good to be true? I'll look at putting one on later this year if I think they work good.

Hey Perry, the copperhead unit will give you a noticeable boost in the bottom end. I also had shims put in the clutch to get engagement a little earlier, haven't had a chance to ride it with everything yet. Hopefully I have good news after tis weekend.

Hey Brian,
When you say shims in the clutch, is that the coop 45 mod, where you can put up to 2mm of yammie clutch spacers behind the sheeve? I am also thinking about doing that to get a little more low end. Keep me posted on the results, maybe we can get out for a ride sometime.

I did put the Yammi shims in, that was probably the largest boost I've noticed. where do you usually go riding? We have been to Bruderhiem a few times, and last weekend we went to Darwel and Lac La Nonne ( tonnes of deep skag )

I really don't have anywhere that I usually go riding, as I just got this new quad, and my old one I just used for yard work and hunting. I know the guys from work like alder flats, I've never been there. How hard was it to put the shims in? I see you said it was the most noticeable, does that mean even better than the copperhead?

I haven't riden without the copperhead power commander , so i have nothing to compare, the shims were 2 hrs labor at the shop.
