Re: High lifter Ranger

The trouble is, the two used 900 rangers I've inquired about, the sellers didn't seem real keen on selling. And since they are 5 hours away, I wanted some decent pictures.

So, if I have to buy a new 900 xp, by the time I put everything on it- I'll be pretty close to the same money spent on a '16 Highlifter, that already has some of the list installed. And if the reverse is slightly stronger, and the gearing is slightly better- I figure why not.
Yes the upgrades are not cheap. Theres way more than 4k in polaris upgrades on that ranger.

Right now polaris has up to 4500 off 2016's. When i bought my xp last year the highlifter was clearing out for just under 20k. Probably 22k out the door from a dealer in red deer.

Right now im at 17500 with a full cab, cab heater, 3" lift. And i still didnt upgrade the tires.

The highlifter is clearly the better deal regardless what your using it for.

Try Hi Line Polaris here in Wetaskiwin. I bought my RZR 1000 from them 3 years ago and got as good a deal as i could find. The shop manager has been great to deal with any time I had it in there which has not been very often. Good luck

Well, I bought one. Sure goes through snow.

Lookin forward to putting some miles on it. Nearly $1000 dollars difference on OTD pricing among a few dealers with left over '16s.

i had a polaris half windshield, talk about suck, needs warning sticker" no squeegees allowed" it is softer than butter, scratches faster than grannies on scratch tickets at Bingo. :twocents:

Yes you can see at least. When its covered in crap. Hard to train my eyes to look past the winshield. Ultimately the D.O.T approves glass is the best for a full windshield with a wiper.....but pricey.

I will keep cleaning the poly for now. Maybe get a poly hinge from plastics plus and cut it and make a fold down.
