Right now polaris has up to 4500 off 2016's. When i bought my xp last year the highlifter was clearing out for just under 20k. Probably 22k out the door from a dealer in red deer.
Right now im at 17500 with a full cab, cab heater, 3" lift. And i still didnt upgrade the tires.
The highlifter is clearly the better deal regardless what your using it for.

Yes the upgrades are not cheap. Theres way more than 4k in polaris upgrades on that ranger.The trouble is, the two used 900 rangers I've inquired about, the sellers didn't seem real keen on selling. And since they are 5 hours away, I wanted some decent pictures.
So, if I have to buy a new 900 xp, by the time I put everything on it- I'll be pretty close to the same money spent on a '16 Highlifter, that already has some of the list installed. And if the reverse is slightly stronger, and the gearing is slightly better- I figure why not.
