08 XP...your moving up a ton. I'd do the trade.

I would say if Martian will give you $6000 on trade, go for it. Why bother trying to sell it yourself for a possability of a couple xtra bucks. 04 to 08 is a big jump in tech, you won't be disapointed. But if you want to wrench and mod, yes I agree its fun but it will always be a 04 so if you throw $4000 at it dont exspect to get that $4000 out again. Look in the classifieds highly modded sleds dont get thier money back. If you are looking for a vote I say 08 or 09 XP. pull the rope and go.My 2 cents

No, no it's an 08 XP, here's some numbers:

08 XP $10,995 - 04 REV $7000 = 3995 difference:d
09 XP $13,000 - 04 REV $7000 = 6000 difference

Does any one have any names of Ski-doo dealerships in around Montana area, only reason for Montana is i can make the trek over a week-end with-out missing any time at work.

Go with the XP 154 before your rings let go. If you can get 5-6K no question trade up get the new drive shaft for free and away you go, or you could sell it privatly and buy a 08 154 XP for 8500-9000 with no KM's. Yes I have seen them this cheap. Bought a 08 XP 146 X model in April for 8500.00 with 300 kms.

Personally, i'd wait untill our first dump of snow and then put the sled on the market. Ask high and you'll get your money, There are lots of people that get impulsive and will spend top dollar for a nice clean sled. You'll get your price.

Well, i went back to Martin's last night to have another look even though i've seen them a thousand times. I think i'm leaning towards buying a new one as apposed to making some slight changes to mine. I agree with others, i think i'll wait til the first bit of snow before i buy to try a squeek the most $ out of mine. Martins has a dozen brand new 08 XP and i seen an advertisement in the bike/ boat trader than Riverside is also selling the 08's for $10995.

Mrcoops, you want me to buy a cat!!! are you crazy....jkd, my cousin has a 162" with NOS and ya she hauls, if it wasn't for doo i'd be ridin a cat. Maybe you can hook me up with a XP out of the US for cheap, cheap.

Anybody want to buy a dirtbike, need the cash for new sled:d:d

When i talked to Martin's he said he would give me between $5-6K depending on the shape of course.

I would almost jump it they told me $6500-7000 for an 07 X on trade

Just my 2 cents. But at the end of last Febuary I bought a 06 800 151 summit adrenalin with 400 miles, a factory cover, skidoo fuel caddy and a mbrp can and I got it for $7500. Which I know is a steal. But I still found it. Just alittle something for you to compare on.

I hate to jack this thread, but I am shopping for sleds all the time and that sled is worth about 5g to someone who knows what they are looking for. I know most people can't rip down to the border to pick up sleds, but if you can get to the border and know the how to lay the paper trail. your can get most sleds 07-08 m1000, m800, rev 8000xp/xrs, polaris dragon 700/800 for between 6 and 9g with all the fixins. I have found low mile m1000's for 6g low miles. I have also seen 08 xp's with low k and lots of add ons for under 7g. you can tack about 8 hundred on for tax, exchange, and riv on those prices but if you want to save a buck its a good option. You will likly get what you ask out of it though, too many albertans p#ssing there money away and believe me I am not judging because I am one of them LOL. Just seems to be the nature of our economy.

yeah sitting in my truck for at least a day to drive there and back, fuel, food, the beer i'll need when i get back because i'll be grouhcy from being in truck all day, not much of a chance to really go over the sled as your meeting some douchebag in a parking lot, yeah seems worth it to save what, a couple bucks?? been there done that!! as i get older i've found my time is worth more then that!!!! if a guy is smart he can get the same deal up here with no grief. did it twice myself last year!!!
