Heated goggles

Who has them, what brand, what lenses? Reviews?

i have the FXR core. clear lens. love them. i have posted on another thread about these. I went out last weekend didnt change goggles once. Had them full of snow, took them off, they frosted up, plugged them in and clear as glass. I can't say enough about them, i just wish i wouldve gotten them sooner. I put the cord down my Onesie, and out the crotch area, and then plug in at bottom of handlebar. i dont even notice the cord.
rode boon docking sidehilling, wrong foot forward, wheelies and didnt have any issues. No fog!!

Bought Oakley inferno’s like them. Never use my spare set anymore. Work great. I think rose pink lense.

Oakley infernos with the rose lense. Work great but the first ride the battery didn’t last long...maybe 5 cycles and then they showed less than 25% charge. Second day it was 18 below and they shut off in the middle of the day. Last 3 rides the battery stays charged longer...think it takes a few charge cycles to get to full capacity.

You have to sort of plan ahead for the heat cycle as it takes a minute or two to heat up...as soon as I start moving any remaining fog disappears.

I have the iridium jade and Prism rose Oakley infernos. I was told that the lenses could not be changed so I bought a second pair. I did see a package of lenses at Riderz so I guess it is possible.
I wear glasses so these goggles fit perfect with not pressure on my nose or temple like other goggles. A proper balaclava is necessary with the helmet I use. I do find them a little colder on thr trails but the added ventilation helps keep my glasses from fogging. I have struggled for years with fogging, I love these infernos.

The vibration on the battery pack is nice so you know when they are activated. The 509s battery pack is heavy and you have to take the goggles off to see what mode your in. The wires on the lense of the 509 make them look cheap.

You have to use the Ipad style charger to get a proper charge with the inferno. A guy I rode with over xmas had that issue and he was getting the green charged light. I charged them for him and he used them all day without the battery dying.

I have the Oakley Prism Rose infernos. As above activate the lenses about a minute or two before you ride and you'll be clear. Love the color and definition. They're expensive so I'm trying not to damage the lenses but being able to see is important.

1. do you turn them on as they fog or stay warm all day to prevent fogging.
2. looking into them for the gf how long does a battery last? she fogs up a ton with or without a balaclava.

With the Infernos you push a button for a heat cycle when they fog. There's a buzzing sound to let you know it started. The heat cycle lasts for about 3 minutes and clears the lenses. The battery is supposed to last 30 cycles but I've never used it that many times in the day. The most I've used it is about 15 cycles and no dead battery yet. Basically if it goes dead you just have a pair of normal lenses.

what do you mean by ipad style charger?

my guess is 5A plug instead of a 2A plug.

Thanks. I haven’t really looked at any of them yet but not really interested In a corded pair.

If I was to get those I would be building a small cheater cord and be powering them from a Milwaukee battery pack from their heated jackets. But I don’t like things in my pockets either. Might be a bit Heavy to mount on the goggle strap.

Ok in what ways? I’m looking for reviews on function not a hood emblem? Haven’t personally seen any of them yet.

Got the 509’s find they work great, leave them on constant if your working hard then on burst the rest of the time. Constant lasts around 5hrs with zero fog.
Battery is pretty big but don’t notice it on the side of helmet
