I’ll post tomorrow when it’s confirmed!

I would like to compare the Abom’s to the Oakleys I got, but have not used yet. (Argyle Motor sports)

I like how abom, and 509 both have a constant on feature, and more lens options.

I’m too lazy to change lenses so I want 2 pairs. I need a low light and a sunny day.

With the constant on ABOM's you get 5-6 hours max. Not really a full day. I try to run mine on the boost mode where it only clears the lens when needed and I seem to get a little more life from them. If you were only to get one Abom lens, I would suggest the Deep Ocean Mirror, it has been good in all conditions. Its not really a mirrored lens

I put up a thread a little while back asking if anyone has tried the maverick heated goggles or has any info on them. I've taken them out 4 times now and they've only worked well one of the 4 times, the connection into the battery seems cheap and it keeps coming unconnected shutting the heater off. The one day they worked flawlessly and I really liked them. They come with a clear lens and a dark mirrored lens that are megnetic to the frame, makes changing the lens about a 2 second job. If they can sort out the cable to battery issue they would be a good choice for heated goggles, but at $290 with tax and only getting one flawless ride out of them I'm not to happy about that. I'm going to take them back to the dealer I bought them from today and hoping they can exchange them for a pair with a working connection otherwise I guess my next step is to get ahold of maverick distributors out of Edmonton, is where someone on here told me they are from, and see if they will help me out.

The deep ocean is not too bright on sunny days? Says 50% VLT

I got the Oakleys with hi pink lenses. Think they will be too bright if the sun is out. I’m gonna look for something for sunny days in the aboms.

Maybe the sky blue mirrors in the heet line.

30 % vlt with a copper base colour.

I ride Revy %90 of the time. Not sure what sunny days are.

It’s a good compromise lens. The light mirror cuts down on glare but still shows definition on overcast days.

Anyone know if you can mount the battery pack on to the short straps for the 509 Sinister X5 ignite goggles or do you have to use the full length straps they come with?

You mean the quick straps? I don't think so. I had a guy mention that it is probably just two wires (inside the "harness") and one could probably splice a wire and have the battery inside your coat/pack/etc.. I wasn't brave enough or have enough cash laying around to try that out.

I saw the Oakley battery pack mounted on the short straps. Guy said if messed with the fit a little but kit worked.

I have not seen the 509s in person yet.

There done in the sun but not so good if you ride out in the dark. Would rec9mend caring a set of yellow for the ride out or something. That's litterly the only bad thing

Infernos are scarce, we just sold out this morning at Martins West. People say nothing but good things about them though. A Couple of our employees use them too and they said the same thing, they don't bring spare goggles anymore just their infernos and their batteries last more than a day at a time.
Really?......I ordered a pair I believe on nov 23 2017........the guy had my phone number and was supposed to call me when they come in . I was told their supplier claimed they were back ordered. I then drove down to sport check in West Ed mall to see if they had a pair . They did so I bought them and thought I might have to buy the other pair when they come in ,,,,,but I had my suspicions I’d never hear from martins ...... sure as **** I read this lol

Finally got 8” dump around Home. Kids wanted to ride their sleds so took the Oakleys out for a test.

First reviews of the Oakleys:

I pulled the cord out of the battery pack the first few times I put on my helmet then tried to adjust how they sat on my face.

I wasn’t fogging too often so only tried the button a couple times.

Worked good when they turned on, but seemed glitchy. Pushed the button a couple times, no vibrate, turned them self off? WTF?

These fawkers better work on the real cold days too. Was -15 to 20 ish.

Got my wife to look at sport check today in calgary for inferno rose and she found a pair. So I tried them in my 509 helmet and they fit in the helmet really good. But I love quick straps and with the battery pack the quick straps won’t fit. So I think they will be going back. They were $274 plus tax.

Might want to just wait and watch the ski shops for late season deals. A buddy found me some infernos for $145 last week.

Don’t. With the heated goggle you never take the goggle off anyway. You will love them.

People still use quick straps? Lol i thought only old men still used them
I’m 45 so that is pretty old. I really like my quick straps. I rarely ever fog up. Not even sure why I bought the infernos, sounded cool I guess.
