Ok first a bit of history. I have had a couple heart surgeries so when my bank approached me about having more insurance without a physical I thought it was a pretty good idea. I have the normal insurance through work but this stuff was like "critical health" and "critical accident".

I signed up for it but after looking at the paperwork I think I would just be throwing my money away. The accident stuff means you have to have an accident so if I get hurt sledding for example I don't think they would consider it an accident since I knew I was sledding. Also even though I have called 3 times and in 3 times they have said I would not have an issue with the heart thing because technically I am not at risk for a heart attack or stroke. I really see them sticking it to me if I even did claim something like that though.

So question. Does anyone out there have the extra bank health insurance stuff? Any horror stories?

Do you mean extra bank health insurance like on your mortgage or loans? Or extra insurance that the bank sells as a seperate policy on it's own?

Sorry I wasn't very clear. I don't have a mortgage so I forgot about that. It is just extra on a separate insurance for physical health. I didn't even know banks offered it until I got a notice in the mail.

Its like this stuff Health Insurance | TD Insurance

Check out "COMBINED INSURANCE" they have accident and illness insurance.

I made a claim on the accident portion and had no issues getting a cheque.

Cheers
