What year Z28? Got any pics? Lets see whats up for barter
98 Summit X had the following differences from the 98 Summit 670: 670 H.O. engine with DPM (instead of HAC system), bare aluminum tunnel, lighter seat, magnesium chaincase cover, 136 x 1.75" track with 9 tooth drivers, and Mikuni VM44 carbs. The sled you are describing was one that was either a Summit with MXZ pieces stuck onto it, or an MXZ that was longtracked. Either way, the altitude compensating system has been removed, whether it was a HAC system or DPM. As far as jetting the machine for more power, you could lean the baseline jetting a bit and still use the HAC or DPM to adjust for temp and altitude - I kept the DPM on my 98 X even with twin pipes and a 740 big bore kit - ran incredibly well.I kinda thought so.. this is what the guy told me, you let me know your take on this...... Thanks
"ok , here is a list of most of the upgrades, the summit x was a factory modified sled,, for the most part it was a mix of the mxz and the summit, it featured the following; mxz engine mounting plate, no high altitude compensator, ( this allowed the rider to jet the machine for more power ), high qaulity leather mxz seat and gas tank,( the mxz tank is much more rider friendly ), mxz front shocks, plastic skis, mxz rear shock, cromb rail grips for sidehiling, new low pro smoked windshield, it has 40 mm carbs, a new belt, full jet pac."
WHAT DO YOU THINK??????
Keep the car. It's way easier to sell at the right time of year. A beater sled...well not so much.
i would keep the car and if it was a vette i would trade u for something i have 2 corvettes now u know i need three
the decals on the hood look a bit different (don't remember the eagle on others) most everything else looks pretty much the same as any other. Except for the new trailing arm. Nice and clean though.
are lots..just googed "millenium edition sled"
