no such thing. got the ski-doo history book right infront of me! sorry!

I kinda thought so.. this is what the guy told me, you let me know your take on this...... Thanks

"ok , here is a list of most of the upgrades, the summit x was a factory modified sled,, for the most part it was a mix of the mxz and the summit, it featured the following; mxz engine mounting plate, no high altitude compensator, ( this allowed the rider to jet the machine for more power ), high qaulity leather mxz seat and gas tank,( the mxz tank is much more rider friendly ), mxz front shocks, plastic skis, mxz rear shock, cromb rail grips for sidehiling, new low pro smoked windshield, it has 40 mm carbs, a new belt, full jet pac."

WHAT DO YOU THINK??????

I'm not a doo guy by any means, but that sounds something like a hillclimb-type model...

Sounds like someone with a vivid imagination to me. Not saying it isn't so but saying its more likely a one of made machine by someone and not the factory?

The guy said it is a 136 X 2" track. That the guy before him put an extra $3000 into the sled too. The guy trying to selling machine to me, said he paid $8000 for this sled a few years back and has only put 100 kms on it since then. Says its "MINT" ......
I bought a 98 Summit X 670 last year for $3900 and it was tweaked up ALOT. And that one had DPM, not carbs like this TRIBUTE does. (Sold that sled in the summer, and regret it now) Theres NO WAY this sled is worth even close to $8000.

All of the summits from 94 to 98 had the HAC (High altitude compensator) system including the X. the 99 went to DPM

Then am have to assume that this TRIBUTE sled is not even a summit x because it doesnt have either HAC or DPM?

This production model came later...maybe the guy is a little confused  Sounds more like a BS sales pitch :nono: The 1998 line up in a 670-700 had these models available in a Summit or Formula .

So even if this sled exists, what do you think the value would be... roughly. Im going to look at it this afternoon, just want to have a ball park idea. I know that its not even close to what he said he paid for it.

I know there are alot of sled out there to choose from but Im not dealing with cash on this sled, he wants me Z28. I would rather have a CAT or Polaris, but no one is offering me one for the car.
