Went out to Vavenby Jan 27th & 28th. Rode with my cousin, he's a local boy and a logger, So he showed us around, It was great.
We rode Harp on both days, 1st day was pretty socked in so we stayed down in the trees, Played in a bunch of cut blocks that he had logged.
We made it to the Sno-drifters cabin but couldn't get much further.
Our second day was stellar, Blue bird skies, We got to see a small portion of a really large area. Had lots of fun back in the burn.
We were playing on a lake on the South West side of the peak, we could hear sleds further south west, yet there were no tracks, We were told these were probably the Barrier boys coming up from Barrier, So yeah she's a big area.
I'm looking forward to going back, some of the best riding I've done in a long time.
On our way over the one peak, I was last sled. There was a lot of room given between machines as we dropped.
When i started dropping down, all the snow around my machine started cracking. In a panic moment i pinned er, and caught up to the guy in front of me, when i looked back it looked like nothing slid or moved, just cracked.
So we came back out a different way. once back up top we did a column test, our second light tap from the wrist and our column broke 3ft below the shovel. We didn't spend much time up top, Just crossed back over and found more trees and cut blocks to play in.
