Well what we thought was the fix wasn't. Started good around home and out of the trailer. Was hard starting after it was warm and we got to the cabin at boulder. And after three days of riding it got harder and harder to start. Now it's best bet to start is on a flat surface otherwise it will take 20 pulls if you let it sit for a minute but if you start it back up quickly after you shut it down it will start back up. Almost seems like the fuel leaks down. Also noticed when I rolled my sled over that it would leak some gas and when trying to start the lights won't even flicker. Back to the dealer it goes. I'll update when I know what they find.

I have a 2014 etec and once it gets warm depending on outside temp it takes about 10km and up to 50km and it starts to run on one cylinder it sounds like and just drops on its face. No codes even when they hook computer on it nothing shows up. So they thought nothing was wrong so I took a video of it and they said will if we can't catch it doing it we aren't going to change anything. Anyone hear anything about this issue???

Make sure your key is on good. Could be a plug or wire as well?

Ya stator or ECM. I'm kinda leaning toward the ECM as it didn't take all the programming. The weird part to me is the gas leaking. It not a carbed sled so if it has and leak out it should be minimal if any but it was a noticeable amount. It's pretty disappointing this was the first brand new sled I bought and just wanted to pull the rope and go this season but it hasn't been the case do far so hopefully my luck changes.

I think you said you rolled it? There is a pressure relief hose on top of the shock that will leak fuel

Ya I did roll it. It just seemed like a significant amount for a fuel injected sled.

Brothers sled would start but not come of idle several times. Flashed high temp but only 3 bars on guage, then flashe check key so we switched to spare key but no change, then flashed check exhaust. Did this about six time in two days and the last time we also noticed the ice in throttle block so reved the ice and sled ran but still flashing codes so ice removal may heve been a coincidence for the TPS. Taking back to dealer so I will post once he gets it back but suspect a reflash required as hight temp was flashing the most common warning and his sled never went over 4 bars on the guage and lots of coolant and circulation and no way not enough snow for cooling last weekend.

Well this weekend I had almost zero issues with the DESS and starting. It appears that the twisting and pushing the key on the post that time made it go away.

I noticed that when I don't pull the starter properly the first time the sled decides not to start for me..

Better eat my wheaties///

Had my 2014 summit sp 800 do this to me last weekend, took 3 or 4 pulls to get it started after i shut it off. Cleaned the snow and ice from behind the throttle so i know it wasnt that. When it finally did start it cut out and just about quit and then reved up to normal. Didnt notice any power loss while riding tho, and it starts fine in my garage when its warm. Gonna go see if the dealer can give me any answers after work. But then again maybe its just a normal break in thing.

Update on my sled it's been at the dealer for over a month (thankfully they gave me a demo for the time being) but from what I have heard this morning is that there is a problem in the fuel system which causes it to get vapour locked and causes this problem.(couldn't tell you the part that needs replacing because the service girl was just relaying the msg from the tech) BRP has come out with a service bulletin on this problem and is trying to fix the ones that are having the issue and this issue can also cause the fuel pump to be flakey so if the problem re occurs they will also replace the fuel pump. Hopefully this is the fix pretty lame buying a new sled and not being able to ride it.

Just think of it as preserving the resale value of your sled! Kind of like having a factory ride.
