What year did BRP put on the smaller diameter bars?
I bought new grips in Kamloops the other day and they won’t go on the bars on our 2019 Summit. They are too tight. Are the grips I bought for a newer sled?

Probably, I know the experts in 23,24,25 are all smaller diameter

2019 should be big diameter bars.
2021 was first year of small diameter.
As far as stock goes, the small grips have a continuous pattern on them and a slight hex shape at the end. The larger grips have some rings/ribs where the bend is.

I think your dealer guy screwed up Doug. They need to get you the larger grips

Save yourself a trip to town and go grab some CFR or Kyber grips from Shuswap Xtreme.

Have been thinking about that. Next Costco trip I can return to RTR.
I’d phone them and give them a chance to order them if they don’t have any Doug. It’s close to Christmas and you don’t want to be parked if riding is at a premium

Shuswap Extreme is local and that is an easy fix. I know that RTR in Kamloops had CFR grips but I was of the opinion that the sales girl who pointed me to the BRP grips knew about the diameters.
If the CFR grips fit, I will take the BRP ones back when I next go to Kamlops.
All is good and I can doo that tomorrow as this small town has business closures on Monday.

My 2021 has the small diameter bars, not really a fan of them but until they break I will keep using them.

2020 expert was first of small diameter bars. Many base model sleds still had large diameter
