This may be common knowledge to some of you guys but here goes nothing. It all started off a snowy utopia some know as groundhog, it was couple weeks back and i remember maybe getting stuck a few times, rolling it over and continuing riding. Well it got dark and obviously colder and we decided to start heading back to the truck, a buddy of mine (whom i blame secretly for all of this) got stuck and we had to wait about 10-20 mins for him to unfog his goggles and get out, while he was doing that my 2014 XM was sitting pretty but wouldn't come off idle, 20 mins later...frustrated and having a 2 year old like temper tantrum, i made the executive decision to leave it there until the next day and had a buddy double me out. well, we ended up hitting a tree trying to navigate while doubling but we made it out.

So the next day we pull into the parking lot and when i say pull into i really mean spin and spin and get my enclosed trailer stuck, i had my thinking cap on and only had it in 2wd. We got it all unstuck and trekked out doubling of course ;) (no homo i swear), and made it back to my sled, it turns out all my temper tantruming and skidoo bashing was due to about 1/8" of ice built up in the throttle flipper ( built up right on the c-clip on the cable ) if the computer doesn't sense the throttle is at 0% at start up it will only idle. I chipped the ice off and rode the rest of the day happily ever after. Moral of my story is check the simple things first... Yep i'm an idiot.:beer: cheers!

As a matter of fact i did kick it... several times, while saying stuff like EDIT: Rainbows , butterflies , and lollipops. as for jumping i have short little legs and it looks more like umm bouncing.

I took the dess key out of it before i left.

ya they really need to start letting people know this when you purchase. or put a tag on it somewhere when its new that forces you to read it when you pull it off. one guy had his choppered out for the same reason so yours is only half as bad LOL.

but yes you are correct. however i think its 5% and shes not going anywhere.

Haha, we actually did inquire about choppering it out, the quote of $1850 made me rethink and grab extra gas and some matches.

have had this happen to me. once pretty bad too. only seemed like it was running on 1 cylinder and gauges wouldn't come on. was all just because of ice build up.

No, no problems, had a sled on the deck that's the only reason why its on there. Wont ever use it again. Gonna buy a proper 4 place trailer.

Yes he kicked his side panel like he was kicking a field goal. They do have strong side panels lol. Didn't have a good day myself that day. Screwed up my knee earlier in the ride and it was too painful ride and or walk. Thank god we figured out that problem though lol.

If any of us were smart enough to pack a snickers on the trip, none of this would have happened.

good to know ...

late one day Rodgers plants his freeride in a gully wall and it took a bit to get it out and that is exactly wot happened ...

we were trying everything and it was getting dark. we were contemplating leaving it there, but he started it up again and it was fine ... eventually.
