His breaking the law is the most relevant part. That’s what started the whole thing. He is to blame, nobody else. Again I repeat myself, stupidity is not a defence for breaking the law.

The only acts of stupidity are those of the Sheriffs and now your defense of those actions.

No one in their right mind would defend physical assault by a law enforcement officer for such a menial offense. If this is acceptable we might as well replace the Sheriffs with the KGB and re-open the Gulags.

You obviously think that drunk driving is a menial offence. I don’t. Go to the MADD website and look at the families destroyed by it. You watch an edited video, and don’t have the intelligence to wonder what happened before the edited version shown. Maybe the driver kicked the first sheriff, or spat on him, or threw something at him. You don’t know, and neither do I. what I do know is that most times, the videos are edited to make the cops look as bad as possible, so that sheeple like you overreact and start whining.
What I do know, based on personal experience, is that if you’re respectful to a LEO, you get it in return. When you’re not, things can go badly. A cop won’t and shouldn’t tolerate someone disobeying his instructions, if that’s how it works, then nobody will obey the law. Look at what’s happening in the states when criminals know that they don’t have to listen to the cops. It’s about respect, And taking responsibility for your actions, but you obviously don’t think that is necessary.
And I didn’t say all farmers were stupid. Just the ones that decide that because they’re farmers, the law doesn’t apply to them. I have no sympathy for that idiot driving the tractor, just like I don’t have any sympathy for the inner city criminals that fight the cops, get tazered And put on the ground.

Don't make sh!t up to try and make your point. He didn't assault an officer, he would have been charged for it. He wasn't driving drunk or he would have been charged for it. If there was any kind of act on the part of the farm kid to justify the officers actions the Sheriff's office would have released a statement to that effect. There is no such statement.

You simply don't get it, there is absolutely no justification for that kind of unprovoked violence.

I or most other people don't have a problem with law enforcement or check stops for that matter. But there is a huge difference between firm and effective enforcement of the law, and 5 officers kicking the crap out of a kid to get their days excitement.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. It wasn’t unprovoked. He decided to test the resolve of the sheriffs by breaking the law. He now gets to pay a lawyer, the impound fees and will hopefully get a criminal record. All because he was too stupid to wait in line at the check stop.

The average Canadian is law-abiding. Gun laws don't necessarily apply to those who are not. Why take any guns away from law-abiding citizens?

Might want to ask Venezuelans or any other "socialized" people living under tyranny what it would take to arm the general population to turn things around, or what it would have taken to not be in the mess they're in now.

Fully auto assault rifles were banned in the 70"s I believe. Personally I believe all guns within reason should be legal for "LEGAL" gun owners to possess. When you become an illegal gun owner then you should be charged with the full force of the justice system.
