All of which are illegal. Do you actually believe that those sheriffs just decided for fun to drag that dunce out of the tractor? It’s people like you that are the root of the problems we’re seeing with society now. Don’t like the law, just disobey it! Come across a check stop, just drive around it. No need to be accountable for your own actions. The laws don’t apply if you don’t agree with them.
Cops do something you don’t like? Protest. Start buildings on fire. Loot and steal at will, because you don’t agree that it’s illegal.
The guy driving that tractor is the one responsible for what happened. He decided that he was above the law.
And if he’s that isolated and stupid that he didn’t understand that he had to stop and follow the instructions from a cop, he shouldn’t be allowed on the road. Stupidity has never been a defence before and shouldn’t be now.
Technically he’s exempt in a tractor, it doesn’t need a DL or insurance or plates, any normal person would of realized he’s just a farmer, if he was black the cowards wouldn’t of even beat him, just like how all of Chicago was just looted and all the cops just watched, too busy beating up farmers....BTW why wasn’t he eligible for his own protest? Cause he’s easy meat for the cowards.if it wasn’t for farmers everyone would be hungry naked and sober...

You can't actually be serious? A moments lapse in judgement by an 18 year old kid that probably didn't know better deserves a sh!t kicking by the cops? And you are defending an un-constitutional law the permits police to demand a breathalyzer from anyone they please without cause?

Clearly the kid stopped for the police once he realized what he had done, they were hiding behind a hill, he didn't see what was causing the stoppage of traffic he was driving around until he got over the hill. This is the definition of police brutality and abuse of power.

Every story has facts we don't know and they don't tell us. Who really knows what went down. The kid could have a prior history with the cops and they stretched the limit of what they're allowed to do. I'm also not defending the cops because we had a local RCMP officer that befriended my dad while stealing him blind. To the detachments credit they dealt with the guy and returned whatever they could find so I'm not blind that they don't have bad apples. I have an uncle in Alabama and he says the local department is totally corrupt so there's whole squads that are bad but considering how many people are employed by police departments North America wide I'm guessing it's just that lots of bad apples are hitting the news. Or who knows. I try not to judge as a couple times I've had the inside track on things that made the news and the stories were almost unrecognizable once they hit the front page.

Being 18 and stupid doesn’t exempt you from obeying the law, regardless of whether you agree with or dislike where they set up the check stop. Next time you come across one, tell the cops you don’t agree with where it is, then try driving around it before you refuse to take the breath test or get out of your vehicle. See what happens to you.
The one person that started the whole thing was the doofus in the tractor. He chose to do what he did. He could have got out of the tractor and explain himself but he chose to start a fight with the cops. They were concerned that he was possibly impaired. If he was impaired, they let him go and went on to kill your kid driving drunk, you’d be all over the cops for letting him go.

Farmers have to obey the law just like the rest of us, and the highway traffic act applies to any vehicle on a public roadway. Common sense.

He didn't deliberately drive around it after talking to the cops, he drove around it before knowing they were there, big difference between the 2. He also stopped for them as evidenced by the video.

But again what he did really isn't relevant. What is relevant is what gives the cops the justification to physically assault someone without cause? He clearly didn't have a weapon, or he would he been charged as such. He didn't assault an officer or he would have been charged with that also. So short of physically threatening an officers life what justification do they have to punch, hit and drag someone from a vehicle, let alone an 18 year old kid? Did all 5 of those sheriffs really feel that threatened by a scrawny farm kid?

You want to talk about obeying the law, but clearly the Sheriffs in that video have no intentions of obeying them. If you want to hold a badge and have the privilege to enforce the law, then you need to be held to at least the same standard as the citizens whom you are supposed to be protecting.

if it wasn’t for the oil worker and other lines of work the farmer wouldn’t be farming chit, we all work together it’s not just the farmer, I can’t stand when people say “if it wasn’t for the farmer” ya they bring the grain in, but who built the machinery, who built them a house to stay warm in, who hauled the fuel for their equipment it all works together, and ya as far as that guy in the tractor if he woulda been black they might have let him carry on his way, how about going after all the truck thefts and druggies but they’d rather pick on a decent looking fella in a tractor, this world is a crazy place to be in right now

Holy chit man watch the video, that many cops running around that tractor i can guarantee that poor kid chit his pants.
He id not try to run anybody down
He stopped, open the door and try talk him out-how much time was spent on that tactic, he is 18, inexperienced in life,
The aggressive body motion of every cop there is gross overkill.
Dragging him out, then face down on the ground????
If you think that kind of takedown on an 18 year old kid in a parked tractor is warranted you're fawked.
He is posing no danger parked, no weapon, WTF????????

I guess he could have out run them in that high speed vehicle and they would never find him............

The facts stand on their own. Stupid farmers don’t get exemptions from the law, Any more than any other stupid person. You may not like it, but that’s the way it is. You want to blame someone, blame the simpleton in the tractor or maybe his parents for not teaching him how the world works, not the cops who are charged with protecting society.

His breaking the law is the most relevant part. That’s what started the whole thing. He is to blame, nobody else. Again I repeat myself, stupidity is not a defence for breaking the law.

I can see that stupidity is clearly evident in society, that's for sure!

Whats the story behind this, That caused this disturbance?
Why didn’t the tractor driver just get out??? Looks like there is more to the story.
The tractor driver looked like a big fella that for sure.
Just watch the whole video Matt and decide for yourself. We have quite a few police brutalities and one saying farmers are stupid.

Thanks Ken, I found the description, the vid had me puzzled.
The kid was doing his job, does not look like the sheriffs were.
