Anyone going down around the 2nd week of May? I'm gonna be in the area, but need some people to ride with.

I'm heading down with the Captn at the end of the month. First time down there so I'm getting excited. Not sure what to expect.

I'll put some pics up here and some helmet camera footage after I go...

St. Anthony sand dunes

Well, it didn't happen for us last year but we now have a group of 4 committed to go in Mid April this year. We will be running our quads. For those who have been there before I have some questions though. I would really appreciate your feedback.

Do you need to do anything to prevent sand being sucked into the CVT intake, I would expect that sand will get sucked in and in can't be at all good for the clutch. We plan to bring many new air filters.

I have mixed feelings about buying paddle tires, we will be running tires like the 25" ITP holeshot ATR. Am i going to be disappointed if I expect to get up all the big dunes (Chokecherry)

Is there a place locally to buy reasonable price sand tires. Paddle tire selection seems limited for 12" wheels.

Are you quad guys running in 4 wheel drive?

thanks!

That time of year you should be fine with out paddles. Sand won't have dried out yet. Rexburg motor sport has just about every type of quad tire you can want . That is still sledding time down this way. Had 2 feet of fresh many times in the middle of April.
