Who's going to be out there riding down Pembina River road in the Grave flats are this upcoming weekend?
We are going there Friday and hoping to make it to Ruby Falls and a few other trails.

Not far from there, is the Robb Poker Rally, this weekend.

I don't know from past experience, but wouldn't the water level in all those river crossings, on the way to the falls, be extremely high at this time of year?

we were there 2 years ago near the end of june and there was still snow in some places around ruby falls you could not make it in to cardinal falls beacuse of the snow in there (although people were leaving the trail to get in there )
may long you would want to be ridding early so you could be back early before water levels get to high

should be an experience.
And we all have dirt bikes... messaged people about the rally and was told no because we have bikes...
So instead of paying someone to ride in an organized ride where people move as slow as the government,
we will enjoy trying the grave flats and seeing what the weather brings.

We are heading there this weekend on Friday morning, any suggestions as to free camping woulkd be appreciated. Anyone else heading out there? There are four of us going and we just taking it easy as we have the ladies with us, so if your are looking for an easy going setup you are welcome to tag along. Just a note we have dogs with us. They are trained to protect the site( yeah right, they just as soon lick you to death) We are looking at the Ruby Falls kiosk area, any advice? Thanks.

Here's a link to the best post I've ever seen on the area with some awesome info, directions, GPS maps, and coordinates. These directions will get you there no problem even if you've never been there before.

Camping around there is everywhere and anywhere you can make yourself comfy. Most people seem to preferr camping near the staging area - personally, I prefer camping at the "Y" mentioned in the directions.

I wish we could hold off til august but Roberta can't take the extra time then as Alberta Learning is at their busiest. Sucks to be a contactor at times. July is gonna be nuts, got Edson then the Jamboree and then Cross lake, sheesh, I am gonna have to take a holiday from my weekends!
