I picked up a Garmin 62s GPS and have started to play around with it. Yesterday I went out to Iron Horse Trail and tried it out and I found that the street map that it comes with may not be the best map to quad with. If I zoom into 5 meters or 8km it's really not that detailed because it does not show the trails just plain brown land. Is the topo maps better? what map do you guys use so you can actually see the trials within the trees? Or is everyone just marking the spot where the car is before they go out and when you want to head back you just head in the direction of the marker so getting detailed trails back does not matter. I noticed because there are not detailed trials on the map the track back is not very accurate either.

Two of my buds run the garmin rhino 530 and I have used the nuvi 250. They all had patch maps programing from here in GP. Works awsome for around here. I've used the nuvi around Rocky, Drayton and Sundre for work and the patch maps was bang on. within a meter :d Not sure if it will work with your unit though.
