Actually My attitude actually saves lives. If you Knew me you would probably agree. My boys and any other newbies, when on a ride sledding or quadding, ALWAYS get the Riot Act before hitting the trail. ALWAYS. Saftey has always been and always will be number one. I'm often laughed at by the other guys for being paranoid, all in good humour. I've been riding and hunting since I was punk, I do know a thing or two.

I really get sick of posting something fun for everyone to share, and then getting negative feed back and getting slammed for it. It's happened many times.

Anyhow..... the gopher hunting was a friggen blast and my boys are ready to do it again this spring. Good times. Sorry, wont post pictures. Don't want to piss anyone off!

Hey Scotty, have a ton of gophers my way. Would like your help, I buy shells. PM me if your interested.

Hey Bounce, The pictures I posted of our gopher hunt was out at Tofield. 2 miles north and about a mile west. I would love to help you out with your rodent problem! Here's a shot of the boys on an old tractor we found out in the bush on that property.

I appreciate that. Attitudes such as "don't worry it's unloaded" and "it's fine the safety is on," is what I meant. I think it's great you are getting your kids into hunting. I have friend that was accidentally shot in the leg a couple years ago just shooting gophers, the person who shot him, was positive it was unloaded.

I meant no offence by it, there are just too many people who don't respect firearms. Just as there are too many people who don't respect sleds/quads.

Alright... I will admit that the boys had their fingers on the triggers, posing for the photos. All the guns had the safetys on ALL the time and were only loaded when I said they should be... My boys Are probably more educated in gun saftey then most of the people that will veiw these puictures will ever be. I'm suprised that no one has mentioned we were not wearing helmets or using seat belts??? And I'll beat you all to the punch ....... There are no Friggen Airbags on the quad or the Prowler?? Hope this is OK with you all???

By the way.... we had a good old time making memmories hunting gophers.

This site is turning into a load of crap, a guy can post something that he is proud of and before you know it is getting slammed into the ground!...options are like assholes and its shows some have it by the bucket full around here!

I agree with you Nos !!!!! Fawkin bullch!t !!!! Y post anything ????

First and formost - thank you Scotty for putting up the pics! Great times making memories and vaporizing critters at the same time. I agree with all you guys about the always present and loud mouthed peanut gallery that rears its ugly head on almost every post it seems lately. Indeed, Why post anything anymore?

I hope everyone has a productive and safe gopher season. I'll understand if you don't post any more photos though.

Cheers,
PB

Hey no problem... no offence takin, Even if you were a little harsh! :) I hear what your saying. Safety is number one. The best way to teach your kids safety is to GET THEM OUT THERE! You are right, there are a lot of people that are ignorant and have no respect for the power of the sleds/quads these days and get them selves killed. Same for guns. I just get a bit tired of hearing about it everytime I try to share pictures of my rides etc.

The "unloaded" gun is the one that usually kills. That same gun is usually shot by someone who has never been out and taught how to use it?? Thats why I get my boys out there to teach them, I'm not perfect but keep trying :)

I have been around guns since i was 10..My dad bought me my first pellet /BB gun at a young age.. My grandpa and uncle would take me out with them and use their.22.they could hardly get me out of the pasture after wards..I am very safe and that is number one in my books as well.So the pics of your boys Scotty remindes me of the days when i was a kid.It is great time to have with friends and family..
Dad cant shoot no more cause his eyes are bad,but we still go out the odd time..I dont have any kids, but my nephew has expressed an interest in it so ,time will tell i guess.
Keep the pics coming and forget what people say about them. Cheers!

Too many people treat a .22 as a toy.
