Hope we get another dump here and life will be good!!!

I'm currently out in Steinbach MB. I'm heading back home to Sylvan Lake AB to haul my RZR and my Sled back out here for the winter. I sure hope the snow adds up and I can get in some riding with my Doo.

First ever winter in this area....

As someone who moved from southern Manitoba to Edmonton (You're going the wrong way! Lol), I'd keep your expectations low. Find a small valley or sunken creek area for the most fun there (don't remember many out your way), otherwise bombing ditches is the best you'll find. I actually have more fun on a smaller sled around home.

Very good trail riding in that area...
Not so much off trail though.
The birthplace of sledding, Minnesota is accessible by trail from where you are.
Trail riding is a "whole nother story" and us Mountain guys may never understand it.
Imagine packing up the sled and touring for a week, staying in a different town every night.

When I moved out here from Manitoba, my sled had a ton of miles. It was nothing to burn 3 tanks of gas on a Saturday, just ditch bangin from town to town. Now I'm lucky to put 500 miles a year as I don't get to the mountains very often, and a lack of local snow around here means a trailer ride all the time. Heck I used to ride my sled to work on a regular basis, It was faster and don't have to worry about crappy road conditions. The mountains are friggin awesome, but I really do miss being able to walk out my back door, step on my sled and ride for 12 hours.

Our regular run was Oak River to Rivers to Rapid City to Minnedosa to Sandy Lake and back to Oak River. Sometimes from Rivers we would go to Brandon first, then hit Minnedosa and sometimes after Sandy lake we would run west to Hamiota before back to Oak River too. That was a big day, but sooooo much fun.

Nice to see a couple more members from manitoba. I am from the roblin area 5 miles from sask border. Picked up a 2015 Indy and a 2016 rmk this fall. Even though we haven't got much snow yet we had to scratch the itch today and try them. Enough snow for a trail ride but nothing for playing in. Calling for 3 to 4 inches Tuesday.
