We are planning to groom (I am the president of the Golden Snowmobile Trail Society) as early as next week so that means we will not be charging a trail head fee until friday of next week (December 7th, 8th , 9th). Gorman will maintain at least one groom a week (if not two) for the duration of the season and gate attendants will be there Fri/Sat/Sun until the spring. We are also looking at grooming SILENT PASS next week as well. The groom start kilometer is yet to be determined however we have been assured by Canfo (forestry company) that they will be maintaining the road all season long!! HUGE News!! Very happy!! There we go. A useful update about grooming!!
OH and there were questions about Heli closures in Quartz. It varies every year based on demand. From what we gather anytime before December 1st is find and anytime after April 15th is usually ok. Heather Mountain Lodge (Great Canadian Heli Ski) hold the tenure for that terrain and we'll contact them in the spring and get a concrete date.
