Didn't go further east than Sicamous.............had a couple jobs over there.
Didn't go further south than Vernon.....................that was to buy material.
Going west we made it to Kamloops.....................and that was a couple Costco runs and some tool research.
We were very busy working and the highways we travelled were in good shape and not too crowded other than that busy piece south of Salmon Arm to Armstrong.
Going to travel more this winter but we won't get past Revy. So we won't see the amazing construction to the east.
Those engineers are amazing and lets not forget about the construction workers. I couldn't get up on those platforms and walk around. If I got there, all I would want to do would be to lay down.
Really amazing what one person can do, and some one else would have nothing to do with it....
Hanging over the side in a crane on a platform that someone else built is not for me...
Just saying

Or drive like everyone that lives in BC…..75km/hr everywhere except the left hand passing lane then you speed up to 140 until the passing lane ends….BC is a great place, just be nice to see all the taxes that everyone pays out there go to some infrastructure outside of Vancouver and the island.
When you look in a mirror what do you see?

I would love Howse pass too but it might ruin one of the best areas all these other people can’t really,or don’t want to go to,it would be ruined by tourists basically

Anyone know why they never developed the howse pass?
Is that project canned?
Since when?

As far I understand there is a full contingent of folks working on it still.
Please provide photos and referances..........

Never see it in our life time Skeg pro.....Takes years to engineer.

Richard have you thought about being a moderator on the site? Your doing great!
Ha Ha!
Ken, I could only could do it for a couple months...
Way to busy other times....
Who says retirement is boring.

I sure would have enjoyed being a safety sprecialist on this project though....
I am sure that everyday would have its own new challenges and hurdles to overcome.

Well I did the full pull from RD to Vancouver last week for a meeting. Took #1, around through Radium, then #1, #5, etc through to Hope then Van. All the passes were snowy/icy. On the way home I took #3 the whole way....stopped to visit my Ma in Wynndel....again all the high points were crappy. I'm running studded Nokians on my work truck and I got passed A LOT by all BC plates....and I'm not a putt putt driver. SO it's not just red or green plates that drive poorly. Oh and all the vehicles I saw in the ditch had BC plates too....

On topic: I drove through that construction section east of Golden this past summer. Crazy where these guys are working. Looking forward to the completed road.

I drove through there this summer as well. That is a massive project but the cranes on the pads/matting would be a hard no for me. There is definitely a lot of trust in the engineering of that and the crews that put it together!

That initial climb into the Kootney pass (bypass route/detour) is a biotch.
Truckers chaining up all day from view on web cams.......
