I have been to quartz for AST1 field day a few years back but haven’t rode silent pass or Gorman lake.

I have been to quartz for AST1 field day a few years back but haven’t rode silent pass or Gorman lake.

This time of year, Gorman is a good Sunday, “I’m tired”run. Lots of torn up sleds come out of there from early season riding.

Silent is your best bet for early season. Back end of blueberry is good too. Fools hen, even chatter behind the lodge is good early season.

Probed 110cm to 150cm at Quartz Creek. Lots of rocks and stumps still. But trail was in awesome shape. Good first ride of the season.

i was at silent pass on tuesday. very low snow levels, 40-120cms depending on aspect and elevation. so many rocks and cut off trees/stumps everywhere

I’m gonna post some pictures in hopes everyone goes riding and wrecks there sled. Conditions are crazy differential right now. One spot will be rocks and another will be deep. BUT if you know where to go, conditions are good, bumper to headlight deep!

We rode Gorman Friday and hit rocks all the way to the lake lol

Saturday at Silent Pass was much better, vis opened up in the afternoon.

Was in Silent today…very thin…maybe 20cm more than when I was there 3 weeks ago…-20 air temp.

Parking at 31km, 1st fresh groom of season…pray for snow!
