Does anyone know what logging plans there are up Mcmurdo FSR this winter? It was a long ride in to Silent last year. Definitely got spoiled the previous years.

Not sure but I liked parking at 21 I hope its the same again was fresh pow every time I went last year plus I have 17 litres of fuel cans on my sled now for going there. The 2 new areas should also help with traffic in there

We rode silent pass last year for 1 day, it was one of our best days riding! We had to cut the day shorter than we hoped, by the time we got back to the truck i clocked on 140 km's and running on fumes :ohwell:

I Hope we get to park further up this year, but than again i don't know what is worse... riding the sled longer on trail or driving the truck up there on that rough ass road :dunno:

Cover ground a heck of a lot faster on the sleds. That valley is always stinking cold coming back out at the end of the day tho. I liked it at 21. Was lots of room there and easy to turn around. Does anyone know what log haul is like up there this winter tho?

Wouldn’t even waste my time with that idea. Snow was anywhere from 1” to 1ft. Most everywhere the truck sunk to mud and was melted by the end of the day.

ground is not even frozen yet out here. It will be a while yet or a couple consecutive snowfalls.
