It is nice to see I am not the only one having problems figuring out this El Nino business. And a Godzilla El Nino to boot.

Worry about sled trips once hunting season is closed I suppose. I'm hoping the moisture comes sooner than later for my fellow sledders in southern BC!

Okay, here are the facts from my rain gauge at 4360' in Elkford, BC. Remember the flood was June of 2013 and the driest winter or rainiest winter was 2014-15 (like last winter). Rain in inches up to August 21 of each year:

2010 August 21 - 10 & 9/10ths
2011 August 21 - 6 & 2/10ths
2012 August 21 - 13 & 3/10ths
2013 August 21 - 13 & 1/10th
2014 August 21 - 3 & 4/10ths
2015 August 21 - 10 & 3/10ths (and it is raining pretty good right now so I will come back and edit this later. Another inch and 2/10ths since 2:22 pm. This is now corrected for the amount on this date.)

So, we are not as dry as last year and not as dry as a lot of people are making out it is. I have a feeling it might be a pretty average summer, although, it has been hotter than normal.

Winter? Who really knows? I'm planning on a normal year and I will see what happens when it happens................It has cooled off enough today, there may be snow on the rocks when the ceiling lifts......:snow:

Can someone with the ability please red rep this post......^^^^^^^^^^^^

Haha nobody gets more mileage out of a single photograph than the SxS riders(pardon my misuse of the term "rider")

We should make a bet on how many threads a single photo gets uploaded to by the jeep crowd.

Ceiling has lifted a bit and the snow line is down to 4500' or 1385m as seen in this picture. Snow line is lower on the east side of the valley. Can't see much above that height. I will post a picture of the higher rocks later.
