THATS IT!!!!!!

I'm gonna run for prime minister and set this country straight..

Death penalties for pedephiles and hienous crimes
Work for welfare
Ignore the extreme right, ignore the extreme left (no matter how loud they are) and look out for the middle class tax payer.
No turbans in the RCMP or Military... a uniform is a uniform, wear it as is or don't sign up...
Recognize the fact that the govenment should work for the people not the other way around.

As prime minister I will fly westjet and stay in a super-8 like 90% of my voting public...

Our minister of the envirinment should be a scientist not a politician, minister of finance should be an accountant, minister of defence should be a decorated military figure.....ect.ect.ect....pizzes me off when they "shuffle the cock-ists" if anyone can look after any portfolio how effective can they really be...

Sorry off-topic but I'm getting riled up....

I am so voting for you!

PS Does 10 years in the Army and 6 tours at least get me a decent job in your goverment?

WIGGLES can lick me. them skiing/ snoboarders are just as risk taking just cause his wrinkled b@lls can't do it anymore maybe he should have a warm glass of shut the He77 up.and watch youtube of boarders that do heli drops from peaks that are barely able to sustain them self.i would also like to give my deepest sympathies to the fallen brothers families and friends. And last but not least would like to extend my hand for a proud hand shake to the rescue teams. it gives me a warm feeling in a cold time that the family of sledders will always be there, Thanks. ADA BOYS and GIRLS of the rescue teams

How come weigle didn't take the global crew on the big slope from the 87 footage. Instead all the global footage looks to be on the bunny hill. There have been a lot af sledding tragedies over the last few years but back country skiing is right up there.

Wiegele's waiver

www.wiegele.com/docs/waiver_winter.pdf

Pretty much sums up his business philosophy, and he can't even spell ski-doo right! His choppers pollute tons and he's not liable for any mistakes he or his employees may make.

Dang I need his id #'s to use for the lotto, can't miss with his formula.

Kinda ironic that the RCMP are considering charging people for organizing an event in revy but how many heli ski deaths happened on Wiegele's watch? So if a person has a crown land tenure agreement they are not liable for any mistakes they make due to a private waiver? I can't make sense of this, is the govt. saying Weigele's not organizing a heli-skiing event? He's got a web site and a lodge so he must have better snow goggles then anyone else. Freakin ridiculous!

I too agree, that we've always needed to take someone from the media on a good sled tour through some great terrain, like into renshaw(mcbride) or quartz creek(golden), or clemina(valemount) or boulder(revy).......... I'm gonna talk to one of my friends who freelance writes ski articles, and get his opinion on the matter....

"due to any cause whatsoever, including, without limitation, negligence on the part of the Releasees."

anybody ever think about how many times over the last 20 years weigle has seen sledders in his tenure areas???

still wonder why he hates sleds????

same situation as the kid down the block that likes to cut across your lawn every day to get to school, pisses you off right???

yah but that same kid is having all of his routes and favorite shortcuts blocked off by the city...every year it gets harder and harder.

we have been pushed into a situation that was designed for us to fail.

throw a growing sport into smaller areas and watch them destroy themselves. dont tell me we have enough terrain for the amount of people sledding now. in some areas forsure. but in some small towns we have lost ALOT of area and seen a huge increase in user numbers.

i was interviewed a while back from the salmon arm observer and offered to take them up into our caribou agrrement terrain to show them what actually goes on up there. He wanted to go but due to time constraints for the story he could not make it. The tree huggers make it sound like we are riding around up there chasing caribou and destroying habitat, i wanted to disprove that with a first hand tour. I even offered to take the main tree hugger that was complaining but he declined.

Even though I dont agree with wiegle, unfrotuantely he is right, Do you see the amount of planning and preperation they do before heading out for the day of skiiing? How many avy trained sledders go out and actually dig a snow pit to determine the conditions before they start playing on the hills?, i'm going to say very few as I have never seen anyone doing it whenever i have rode.

The avy at revy was almost guaranteed to happen due to all the factors, and i hate to say it but that scene should never had happened. THe people that went out that day more than likely knew what the conditions were like and prolly heard the reports about it being extreme! but they chose to ignore it and look what happened, the good outcome was the training that most people had there and if it wasn't for the quick reactions and training, there most certinly would have been more deaths.

this is true. however this is what you pay for when going with mike weigle. if you pay me 10,000 a week i will dig as many snowpits as to prove safe as this is my job. your safety.

how many backcountry skiers do you think dig snowpits when not guided? whether it be sled skiers or other means of backcountry skiing?

i dont know. im just throwing it out there.

You are right maxwell, they pay big money so they better be prepared, but we pay big money aswell for all the gear and sled, but it comes down to being prepared. Isn't your safety and the safety of everyone around more important wether you pay 10,000 for skiing or 15 for a trial pass for sledding.
