cut grass twice a week (would be once but i mulch so its easier twice a week )
watering is done before 5 am
healthy lawn starves out weeds

I agree, Use PAR III at a 3% solution. Wait a couple of days and fertilize. You will cream those yellow flowers.

And if you get "Green with Envy" you can mix it with Par 3 and apply at the same time your lawn will look as good as the one picture from the dude that has way too much time on his hands.

For the stubborn weed and the stuff you want to kill dead use straight Par 3, but man it kills everything and I mean everything just ask my wife :d

Go down to your local Canadian Tire and get some dandelion Bars, that'll get rid of them, without killing your grass, that is if their was any grass under the lawn of yellow.
