Generator question

Honda 3000 or Yamaha 3000?
Both are reputable names, but is one better then the other?

Can't go wrong with either. Both quiet, good on fuel, very reliable. Seen both run for yrs and not a lick of issues.

I have a Yamaha. Got it for a good price. I would have got either/or. Make sure you get the wheel kit if you get a Honda.

I like the hondas better, in my experience they last longer and the used ones sell easier. I have both Yamaha and Honda. I would go with which ever one is the best deal.

I have the Yammy 2000, 4 years now, use it allot camping, great little machine. Parents have the Honda 2000, dont use it to much but also a great little machine. Dont know the differences between the 3000's but I suspect the only difference is if you can save a bit of cash on one or the other. Both best on the market in my opinion.

I have a Honda 3000, i'm real happy, it is a bit heavy though. u won't go wrong with either one. the champion 2000, a bit smaller, seems to be getting good reviews from what i have seen.

Both good.
I went with the Yamaha 3000iseb as it was the only one that would run at -40 and not freeze up.
Honda doesn't like the cold .
The Yamaha was a couple decibels quieter also.
Has wheels and need two people to lift into truck.
Use it for a sled camp and hasn't been any trouble for 5 years.

I have to Yamaha 3000iseb with the boost and remote start. I found the yamaha to be quieter than the honda so thats why I went the yamaha route. I have had it a few years now and not 1 issue with it yet. Either way you go, they are both great generators.

Lol I found the opposite. the Honda runs better in the winter. Did the Honda you tried have the cold weather climate package?

I got rid of my Honda 3000 as it was just too damn heavy. The wife can't help lift anymore. I got two of the champion 2000w and I hook them in parallel for 4000 peak watts and 3200 running watts. $1000 for both and the parallel kit. Every bit as quiet as the Honda and start first pull every time. At around 47 lbs each they are easy to move and I can just run one at a time unless I need a/c. 7 hours on a gallon of gas

Honda 3000 for us with cold climate and remote start.
Remote start is a little pricey but sure nice,
Hit button and off she goes.
No need to go running outside in the undees to start geny for coffee in the morning.

Mine cost 6000 dollars though.

Thieves stole my first one and wasnt worth claiming on insurance.... Yes it was under lock and key.
The bastages carry bolt cutters ...
One day I will catch em.

i also run the champion 2000 watt and it runs everything in my 5th wheel with no problems at all very light and starts great,quiet too fairly campground friendly

I did the same, but with 2 2000W Yamaha's and the parallel kit. Had a Honda 3000, and was just WAY too heavy. And I've heard the Yammie 3000 is even heavier. Love the freedom of the 2 2000W.

Both yamaha and honda have this capability, they synchronize the AC waves of the generators with a parallel kit so they work together and not against each other.

Yes. They are American models. I bought off Amazon, and had a friend bring them back with him after snow-birding. Brought them back in 2 trips, so no border fees.

And unlike the Honda's, Yamaha doesn't use a specific companion generator. Both are identical, so I can use them equally throughout the season without puting all the hours on one unit, and only a couple on the other.
