I have a Honda Eu 3000 inverter. Can it run a block heater out of a 3/4 ton diesel? I tried it and it loaded it down a bit but wondering if 2-3 hrs of this will burn it out? Thanks a bunch.

Should by no problem all or most block heaters will only pull 1500 amps a 3000 Honda should run it if you use your generator for camping your coffee maker pulls the same

Loaded it down? You mean the rpm increased. That generator will have no problem running a block heater. It will run my electric water heater, my fridge, and my coffee maker. It will make 2800w of continuous power. A block heater might be 1000w.

I had put the rpms on high before I plugged it in. Just loaded it down a bit.

Ahh gotcha, cool, you will be fine.

Depending on the brand of truck the block heater is approximately 1000w, I think the newer GM diesels are around 800w.

No issues what so ever perfect genny for that job i have also used a 2000w one aswell for same job on tractor and semis block heaters

I have an older 500 genny and just about stalled it out.

used to leave my 02 duramax plugged in to my eu 2000 for hrs. block heater and an interior warmer. works as it should still today.

An EU 2000 will pull 23amps for a short time before tripping even though they are rated for 20amps. Honda allows for inrush current on initial loading before tripping on sustained overload. I can't remember what the EU3000 will pull for inrush current anymore.
