I use cheap 75/90 synth in sled chaincases, quad diffs, and quad gearcases with no issues.

What brand of oil and is it suitable of wet brakes.
I fill all my customer machines with shell spirax 80w-90 because its suppose to get changed every 500hrs and just not cost effective to run synthetic oil unless require by the manufacture like Volvo rock trucks that run 75w-90

There should be a link to the oil up there somewhere, Ac delco 75w 90 I don't know if its a compatible with wet brakes actually. GL-5 rated. 8 bucks a bottle is pretty cheep if you ask me Normally 16.99 a bottle and then tax+enviro fees ontop of it. http://www.acdelcochemicalcatalogue....earch=89021676. I don't know what you guys are paying for conventional gear oils but I am sure the price is pretty fair.
