Never did get any type of programmer yet. Since I first started considering getting a tune done, the transmission has piled up twice. (Had to replace 3-4 clutch plates both times on warranty). As of next week, she will be off warranty :( so putting the programmer on hold for a while.

From what I was told the 4L60E is a weak unit if that's the one you have, and the soft shift points from factory are horrible for it or for any tranny, blackbear ups the line pressure so the shifts are firm and crisp which helps with any wear.

Yeah it's the 4L60E. Only 90 000 easy km on her. I'm still thinking about it.

I would consider it best 400 bucks youll spend, ive got the same truck/tranny combo, Ive been running 35 inch tires and pulling a 27 foot enclosed trailer on the stock tranny since about 20000km truck now has 115000km same tranny(knock on wood) with it being tuned this whole time. another thing to look into is do you have the external tranny cooler/tow package, and to watch your tranny temps.

It is a GFX model truck and has the tow package so I assume it has bigger tranny cooler to. Temperature always runs between 70-80 on flat and in the hills up to 90 degrees. Empty
