Folks, we nearly had to chopper out a 19 today. Popped the 25amp fuse.
So of course it went into safety mode and would only idle.
It has also been flashing a “check engine” warning but we can seem to pull any codes.
Anybody have any tips? Any wiring harness issues we should know about?
Have a stack of new fuses and really want to ride tomorrow.

I had the same thing happen to me at the beginning of the year, however I was able to put the 5amp fuse in the 25amp space and disconnect the headlights and accessories and ride it out. Put a new fuse in it and carry spares, haven't had an issue since. Over 1000kms

Had almost the same thing happen to a buddy’s sled in December. Didn’t blow the fuse though. sled would start, no headlights and the gauge was dead. Wouldn’t rev up. Ended up being a shorted out tail light. The power for the dess key is on the same circuit and it was acting like a bad key. Cut the wire going to the tail light and rode it out no problem.

Problem solved.
Pipe temp sensor worked it’s way out. Wires got melted.
A little bit of a bodge job on the wiring harness and way we go!
