Not to rip the vendor but just throwing this out there: 8' Aluminum flat deck with folding sides for 2 sleds/quads has a base price of $4250 and installation is $450 from Silver Lake Manufacturing. Take off any money that you can get for the box, tailgate and bumper at a body shop. Yes, that is in Idaho but one has to be creative and work in a holiday, book early, sell box, tailgate, and bumper in the States.

Now you guys can add all the extras for the poor dollar for travel, exchange, etc..................

Bought mine and a buddy did also for 3500 the yr before that. Although new owners and storefront/shop would have a lot to do with it. Last guy was building them from a shop in his yard. Low overhead.

I hear ya on the price but last year the dollar was not at $1.30 to buy US money too! So the manufacture is actually absorbing some of the cost because they should be $4800.00 right now but that just way to much. The price of metal is waht affects the cost, Full Lotus actually picks up all his metal on the USA side due to the fact its cheaper.

At this time we are picking up the shipping cost this year because people I know who go to Veron haul them back for us for next to nothing. Someone asked for pictures i will try to get some loaded up tonight.

M-Line starts at $5k and goes up and up from there, I started pricing one to haul my RZR and stopped when I wound up over $8K, they are beautiful decks but priced very high IMO.

Wow they start at 5k? They are nice and the custom part is nice to.

The deck part is easy to build, I could build a deck comparable to those ones. But it's the ramp that's the hard part. You just can't go to the local steel shop and buy that aluminum to make the ramp telescopic.

I agree, building one would be pretty cheap but since I already have a deck for the sleds and a trailer for the RZR its hard to justify.

As for the ramp I think I would build one section out of 3x2 (or similar) rectangular tube, and have another "C" broke out of 3/16 aluminum plate so it fits over the tube, and then glue in teflon sliders for it to slide in, I think it's would be fairly easy to make a sled ramp like that. Now if a guy want a ramp to hold a full SxS I would build a pinned together truss style ramp.

To tight of bends in thicker 3/16 tends to crack but I had that same idea.

Your blaming the new owners and overhead????? Cone-on, just do the math....last year 9% dollar.....today 35% dollar....26% increase on the CDN dollar. $3500 plus 26% = $4410....allow a small price increase of 2 or 3% and its over $4500....just guessing the price increase is not due to vendor gouging....its our week ass dollar...get used to it, cuz I think its going to be this way (or worse) for the next few years.

I agree the new owner is super nice guy and he is a fellow rider. He definetly would help you out in any way he can. His warranty and reputation is un believeable too!
