Okay well let's be fair here and your splitting hairs and calling out an owner that he is charging over the top. Well I'm pretty sure last time I checked my taxes power and water went up more then 3%. Also the average credit card charge is 2%.
Regardless they are one of the best built CANADIAN Decks on the market. Definetly can't compete with off shore company's. Just FYI they still are built in the back 40 with low overhead. I'm looking so forward to mine with some custom headache rack.....

I'm pretty sure you are both arguing the same point?

But regardless, they say the cost comes from the increased dollar, and the fact that the materials cost more, well I'm pretty sure the materials are only 1/3 of the cost 1/2 at max, so this obviously isn't the whole story. Even saying materials are half the cost I get 1/2*3500*26%+$3500=$3955 so there is a missing $500 somewhere, but at the same time if they can sell every deck they can make, why wouldn't they begin to charge more, especially if they build a quality product.

Wow they start at 5k? They are nice and the custom part is nice to.

The deck part is easy to build, I could build a deck comparable to those ones. But it's the ramp that's the hard part. You just can't go to the local steel shop and buy that aluminum to make the ramp telescopic.

When I built my first sled deck from scratch, I bought a telscopic ramp from marathon brand new for 500 cash. Just the ramp. Then I space my legs to accommodate the width of the ramp. Between materials and the time required to build one, I drought a guy could beat that price.

I was still in the process of deciding what I wanted to get built as I was contemplating a roof rack possibly. That's the same time they jacked the price on them. So glad I scooped mine then. I just wish I never wasted my time or money on a cheap deck before I bought this one. They're beauties and top notch customer support and customization options. :wtg:

Not when you consider the labour to build one.

lol.....your going to pick apart the cost vs labour vs exchange vs your opinion.......

don't price out a new combine.....they went up over 100,000 since last year......all due to our weakening Canadian dollar.........try picking that one apart

I picked apart material cost because that was the reason given for the cost increase, that is all, simple math. I'm sorry that some people just accept the excuse someone else gives them for a price increase without doing their homework.

I hear ya on the price but last year the dollar was not at $1.30 to buy US money too! So the manufacture is actually absorbing some of the cost because they should be $4800.00 right now but that just way to much. The price of metal is waht affects the cost, Full Lotus actually picks up all his metal on the USA side due to the fact its cheaper.

At this time we are picking up the shipping cost this year because people I know who go to Veron haul them back for us for next to nothing. Someone asked for pictures i will try to get some loaded up tonight.

Yes I get overhead goes up, and labour goes up. I could really care less though what they charge for the decks, if people are still buying them obviously they aren't priced too high, and they are still cheaper than M-Line.

And I'll price out a new combine right after I price out a tractor for the farm I don't have lol

You guys can argue back and forth for days but if you want a super quality product then the Full Lotus deck is it, it is basically overbuilt and all the aluminum and custom extrusions is where the cost comes from. due to the design it will not flex under load so it will not crack. And about the ramp, i'll say one thing, ITS HEAVY but the reason its heavy again is its built crazy strong, ive seen lots of deck ramps flex like mad under load but you could probably drive a 3/4 truck half way up the ramp and it wouldnt flex. Basically you pay for quality period!

Hate to argue with you because I love my full lotus and would buy another in a heart beat but I actually "use" mine and it requires repairs(welding) every off season whether it is the rungs on the ramp or the deck base and how the legs mount

You don't find the two piece ramp on the Mline a pain in the ass? I just think for the money there would be a better ramp setup

Oh I definitely did but I had it built for a Toyota tundra with a 5.5' box so I didn't have much of a choice for ramps.

Is it ok on an ecoboost? Lol
I sent a letter to Henry Ford and he said yes. I was a bit suspicious so I wrote one to the turbo god too and he cleared it as well. So now I'm just waiting to hear back from the axle boss... does he hang around here? Lol.

OMG that's a half ton! Think of the children, oh the humanity!!!
Oh jeez I'm busted! The ol tundra didn't even squat an inch! Switched to a 1-Ton cause of the fuel consumption I had with this water buffalo.
