Front End Question

Trying to figure out which LCA is bent. Should the spring be centered where it goes through the UCA or more towards the front?

This is my RH side lining up the shock rod with the upper BJ.

It works out to about 1 1/2” of the Rh ski being back farther than the left. Just trying to figure out if the Rh is back or lh is forward. Nothing else bent or broken that I can find.

Left side is good. Chances are its not the a arm its the upper arm mount portion of the nun thats tweaked.

So the spring is supposed to be off center and closer to the front of the UCA then?

Usually lower arm goes back, twisting the upper arm forward.
So says a friend, several times.

Ive tweaked a lower a-arm before. Took forever to find it cause it was a gradual bend but enough to notice this misalignment at the shocks.

Still looking for an answer on the spring placement question if it’s supposed to be centered or forward of Center.

Spindle is the first to go.
If it’s been braced, a arms would be next.
S Module will look good but it’s such a small bend, it is hard to see.
Also be sure your a arm bushings are good(stock plastic ones suck)

I measured the spindles across the two machined surfaces (the ones for the upper and lower bj’s) and both measured the same. Also measured them from the upper machined surface to the top aluminum side of the lower ski rubber base and they were both the same so I believe the spindles are fine.

No braces but the machine did have a skid plate on it before I bought it. For someone to remove it maybe they were looking for the same problem.

FWIW the first photo of the RH side shock/upper arm alignment looks similar to my (relatively) unbent sled and the LH side looks off. Curious if you have a Grip and Rip or similar brace kit installed?

Look closely at the upper arm rear mount points, it tends to pull outwards when the upper arm tries to move forward due to impact on the ski.

They both look fine. I would think that they would have to be quite tweaked to put it out as much as it is. You can see it in the spindle angles. The RH is more vertical than the LH.
It’s blowing my mind that it’s out so much and nothing obvious is jumping out as being wrong.

I had to replace the Smodule support on my T3. Very small visible crack combined with a tweeked spindle, one ski was back about 1 1/2"

I have and I really don’t see anything bent and certainly no cracks. When I measured the spindle it’s the same from the left and right sides although I’m going to put a straight edge on it to double check.

Gonna put it in the air and try to figure it out. S module does seem to make the most sense though as arms aren’t common to bend.

spindles bend like butter also
kid has bent his freeride ones more than once

X2 on the S-mod. My shocks looked exactly the same. Even pulled the suspect A-arm to compare it to a good one. It was nearly impossible to see, but once the module was on the floor it was easier to compare it to the new one. The only thing I found was the slightest wrinkle where the arms mount. Other than that, nothing. A small tweak where it mounts will make it look a lot worse at the end of the arm.
