Good to hear. Android users now out number iPhone users.

Our problem is with the lack of DRM technology on other platforms, digital distribution is fairly wide spread now, but outside of iTunes, I'm not aware of anyone else offering protection for producers, this alone makes me hesitate to offer the film on other platforms. I guess we (producers) are waiting for a third party to provide DRM technology for other platforms, Widevine seems like a step in the right direction but is far from turn-key, once there is a universal solution in place, I would imagine most all video distribution will move to downloads.

Our film probably doesn't suit phone viewing, its more of a sit down and invest in the experience type show. Just my thoughts.

I pretty much live on the road these days, either in an airplane or a hotel room. I love watching sled video's on my samsung note2 on the plane, or using the hdmi adapter to plug it into the hotel room flat screen and watch there. I have a lot of dead time in the air to sit down and invest in something.

I'm in the same boat. I work on the road, and watching sled vids is how I pass the 2 weeks I'm away at work, to get stoked for the season. DVD is a pain, because then you have to carry around a disc, and iTunes is an even bigger pain, because then I'm stuck using my laptop to watch it. I have an HD copy of the movie on my phone, I can then watch it anywhere I can log into my Google Play account. That can be on my phone, my tablet, my laptop. If I do happen to be at home and want to sit down and invest the time in the experience, then I just hit the share button on my phone, and it starts playing on my TV in the glorious HD it was intended to be viewed in, not the resolution of a DVD.
To be honest, if I'm going to purchase the video to begin with, why would I bother to pirate it out to others. Those that are going pirate vids, aren't going to purchase the content in the first place. I still haven't even seen Fourcast 2, because it was not available in preferred format. If you were selling it on Bluray, I would probably buy the disc, but I would want to have digital copy included so I can take the content I have legally purchased with me where ever I go.

That would be great, unfortunately there isn't enough demand for blu ray to warrant the expense of having them produced as there is a licensing fee that needs to paid to Sony. Its not like making normal DVDs.

I hope you guys find a way to get your great films out to more people. Remember, DRM really isn't so much out there to protect the film maker by preventing piracy as people will find a way to pirate movies they want to. Rather DRM is there for the distributor to limit the devices that people can view their purchase on, which iTunes has done in spades. With iTunes DRM, not only do they get their cut of your film, but they ensure that every single person that has bought the film from iTunes also has at least one Apple product to view it on...

Not trying to bash you guys for only offering it digitally on iTunes, as I understand you are trying to protect yourself.

Absolutely, I was somewhat aware of that, I think we'll have a solution that will work for you, we should have an announcement about it in the next couple weeks.
